First of all whoever that guy is who is doing all the talking you got no manners, seems you like an audience to show of to. Stop making everything about race, grown men hanging around on streets arguing with the police, is not a good look for your community, is that how yous want your kids n grandkids to see you.. If you have time on your hands to hang about corners everyday all day drinking and smoking, put your energy to better use and set up something for the kids in the community and get out on the streets and talk to the youths guide and mentor them, and be known for something more positive instead..

I don’t support the Police for obvious reasons. But. What is it with some of our brother hanging out all the time on the street, outside betting shops and just idling. You never see brothers idling outside the library or the children centre where they’ve taken their child or grandchild to play for the day and get some stimulation. We don’t see brothers hanging in crime hotspots where school kids have been stabbed to prevent more stabbings. We’re better than this. We got bigger problems to solve, that’s if, we were indeed engaged in solving those problems, then we wouldn’t have time to hang out in the streets and have Police being paid for moving us on. Moreover, some of these men have grey beards and they’re still hanging out. We’re better than this✊🏾

The same could be said for the Police. We as black people have been paying our council taxes for the Police to do absolutely sod all when it comes to crime prevention, when it comes to Racial hatred and harassment. Do not let me start by going on my soap box now, because once i start i cannot stop. My Cousin has been put through sh!t and the Police had done nothing but a) support the facist people that had targetted her b) preventing her from moving because they considered the fact she was threathened , physically assaulted, had her car vandalised 3 times, was not serious enough to warrant a move. We should recieve EVERY SINCE dime that contributed to their lack of services. These brothers have the right to stand and chat whereever they want. @@teesmith5749 I sound like a sell out🤣Okay. First off, the Police were never designed to work for us. Therefore I expect nothing but negative from the Police towards us. Those who expect the Police to, ‘protect and serve’ are clearly on a journey, that I hope will bring them closer to the truth. In his book Norm Stamper (and ex cop) shows you the term “Copper” comes from the phrase slaver capturer. To them (the police and white culture) we still are slaves and we need to be captured. As for you comments. Of course brothers can stand where they want. I myself. I prefer not to be standing, but instead making positive contributions to my nation. I work by the laws of attraction. I put myself to use in my community, which rules out standing on streets corners. Without being preacher it may be good for you to checkout Nelly Fuller Jr and get yourself on code before you starting Black on Black tensions online. After all, are we not hear to reason and talk. Hi guys, I'm a local resident. We would really appreciate it if we could sit inside our houses and not have to listen to your music rattle our windows. Last year there was music until 5 am on a week day a couple of times. Having quiet music would massively help the feeling with the residents - and we are white, black, Asian. It's not a race issue. If you would like to talk, we're open to it.
@parmavee2 жыл бұрын
@@melissawhite9340 firstly, I'm not here for that kind of talk, do you think that a predominantly black neighborhood means that expectations of residents should be different? Secondly, the neighborhood is mixed, very mixed, I should know, I live here. Thirdly, I'd expect people who don't actually live on a street to respect the residents of that street. These guys do not live on the street, they could go and stand outside their own homes couldn't they?
@melissawhite93402 жыл бұрын
@@parmavee Let me respond, firstly, its predominantly black neighbourhood go check the statistics, secondly, when buying/renting from someone you should do your research!! Everyone knows that! Speak to people living on the potential street you're interested in, go around after evening hours when kids, teens and adults would be home from school, work or unemployed etc to get a feel of what it's like on the street/area to ascertain if it's a good fit for you and your partner/family before moving in. You're actually lucky your not living amongst neighbours from hell, drinking and fighting and shouting obscenities at all hours of the day and night with police callous every minute Get a grip and embrace the carribean culture and if your not happy with my recommendations you have the option of relocating to the likes of living amongst the house thief's of Burnage, Wythenshawe, Openshaw or Blackley 😁

@@melissawhite9340 firstly - data from the last census shows white British as the main ethnic group in moss side. I'm not going to argue there's not a strong Carribbean community, there obviously is. I like living in and serving the community, I have probably taught families of these guys to read. I'll say again, these guys don't live on the street, the could go to the park opposite it outside their own homes. secondly, I did that but I had a one and only chance to buy a house, when I was looking there were a couple of guys knocking about, no big deal. The big deal is when there 30-40 people with huge speakers. You say I'm lucky not to have people drinking, shouting obscenities and fighting - this is our daily lives. The number of times I've called police on fights right outside my window. I can literally here constant obscenities being shouted while I'm sitting in my house. The litter and mess left is a constant issue. People pissing in doorways, the last time there was a huge party someone had a shit next to our bins. Music blaring at 4am on a weekday. Women being harassed. Drugs being openly dealt in front of little kids. All we ask is for a bit of respect. If you're saying that Carribbean men can't do that then you've got pretty low expectations. Saying move is not helpful or an option.
@melissawhite93402 жыл бұрын
@@parmavee How did you know it was a human and not a dog who did that? How do you know people are peeing in doorways? How do you know things are being sold in front of children? For someone who wants to live in peace you have a funny way of showing it you seem to spend your life watching life on that street 😉 You can always sell if you feel its impacting on your ability to live in peace, and have you tried speaking with the community members in question rather than constantly calling 999 🙃Surely the police have real crime incidents they need to respond to.

@@melissawhite9340 when people have tried asking for music to be turned down etc they've been greeted with rudeness. This post here was a direct message to these guys to open a dialogue, you've hijacked it telling us all to move out (people are literally having to do that because it's so bad but I love my house and my neighbours, I'm going nowhere). I stand by my point that not playing music which shakes our houses all day would go a long way to easing tensions, we don't care if there are a few guys chatting. I'm not going to reply to you again, you're making excuses for disrespectful behaviour and are contributing nothing constructive.

It's called: Racial profiling and community bias. You must have some neighbours who are paranoid about black males loafing around, and feel intimidated. They're like that with me as a female in next post code who doesn't loaf about they're just PARANOID and FEEL INTIMIDATED for nuhin and start rukus for no reason lieing bout anti-social when I keep self to self and know nuff pepul. Furthermore, if you manz give up your communual spot, your enemies will zone in because they want to mimic your culture therefore, it's usually due to community jealousy why they're trying to cause confusion amongst the Bredrins. These hang out functions are nothing new in M/S, it was very common on Moss Lane aka " The Front" remember the Front lol where there was a Bookies. It's been going on for centuries and it raises question why it's a problem now? If someone rang fivo to say they have been intimidated, then that's a real complaint, but to say "feel intimidated" is them racially profiling and that's wrongful if no incident occured, they are trying to create a disharmonious environment by "crying wolf" Anyway wouldn't you prefer to sit in the park on the grass with a bluetooth speaker why there anyway😅? Stay blessed 🙏🏾
