I have just received my email today an all to register for the National Sift. Says I have until Friday to Register. Think we then have 7 days to complete. So I am not going to complete it until the last safe moment to get the revision in. Been a special since March so I may have jumped in to soon with the regulars but time will tell. @@connel09 I'm confused. So do you do the competency based interview immediately after the national sift (sjt and bsq), so all 3 tests in one sitting? Or do you just do the sjt and bsq in one sitting and then the cbi at a later date?

@@projectalpha4782 You do the SJT and BSQ together. Pass that which I have then you get invited to the online assessment centre. I have been told that I will be sent all 3 links for the OAC on the 28th June. That is the CBI, written and briefing exercises. In my email they have requested that I complete all 3 of these tests in one day. All though I have until the 4th July to complete.

The force I am applying for is a bit different and I wonder if you could help. I failed the BSQ once so I know what it is like. There were 4 statements on each page and 7 options to choose from between completely agree to completely disagree. But if you chose the same answer for 2 or more out of the 4 then you had to rank them. Could you give some advice for that please?

@@how2become because i download your booklet called "POLICE OFFICER NATIONAL SIFT SITUATIONAL JUDGEMET TEST QUESTIONS" but it does say in the booklet "Please note that each response does not have to be a different ranking. If you believe that two of the answer choices are counterproductive, please mark them as such". will this be likely in the exam or do we have to choose only one respond each of the question

Nice! I would suggest Question 3 is actually "Neither agree or disagree". Diversity is important within the police Service and whether you identify more as an introvert or an extrovert there is a place for you. I would also consider changing Q4 to Strongly instead of Completely agree, although that's just me being picky as sometimes someone else's view could be completely ethically or morally wrong. @@how2become thanks I’ve got mine coming up soon, the competency based interview would this be a good answer for answering explain when you’ve worked as part of a team. Answer: at McDonald’s, majority of the time I led the front counter team. We needed to increase our monthly sales as they had declined. I started a weekly meeting where the team could brainstorm and share their ideas for innovating and finding new sales tactics. Although, we had some conflict as some were to reluctant to change, I used my experience to deter this. I made sure everyone understood their role in achieving this goal by explaining how that role will help us to achieve the end result. Also, by allotting time for brainstorming, it helped keep the motivation from the outset as everyone felt invested as they were all allowed a say on things. So, I worked with colleagues to put these ideas into presentations which we delivered to managers. Ultimately, I adopted several of the team’s ideas and ended up beating our annual sales target by 20%
