In NC, you can’t carry a firearm into stores and let it be seen. As a matter of fact, most stores have signs up stating no firearms are allowed, including those persons having concealed carry permits. Of course, the concealed carry permit holders will always carry, but you have no right to brandish or openly display a firearm and that is what was reported.

I can tell you this, as a former police officer in Baltimore and Dekalb County Georgia, every time I went to a homicide, vehicle accident with a death(s), I prayed for them and their family! One of the saddest performances a person can do is give a death notice to family members. One more point, peace officers run to the danger while everyone else is running away, so yes there is a big difference. I'm sure you're a runner!!!

I feel bad for the child not being able to enjoy his mother BUT, that man; her ex, was her choice. I don't condone domestic violence and am a survivor of same, so I know there's non violent avenues to take in successfully getting away and legally dealing with the abuser. She stayed until she got a new friend and chose to run him over. For the choices she made and the available resources that she didn't choose, I have no empathy. She said she knows, believes in and trusts God, so on bended knee that's who you go to when all else seems delayed or as if it failed, until HE opens doors and turns things around as He's the way maker and vengeance is His. She acted outside His grace but He's loving, miraculous and forgiving. IMO, you have to repent first before kneeling at His feet because her hands aren't clean.
