You’ll probably be able to pick up a lot out there. Dekalb and MARTA police are always interesting.

i love that scanner. You should get if you haven't yet got the DMR add on. at 14:39 it sounded like DMR? I could be wrong but Its soo much fun! Best scanner :)

What frequency range is that gmrs radio on? Thanks for showing how that antenna works I thought I’d have to drill holes in my truck. Does it stay on pretty well at highway speed?

what do you use to connect the antenna?

A BCP connector on the scanner and the antenna part on the roof of the vehicle is magnet at the base.

Did you do any modifications to your GPS puck, so that it will plug into the 4 pin mini plug for the 436HP, or did you buy it ready to plug and play? Thanks

What antenna do you use for the vehicle

I have tried 2 and don't know which one I like better. This one is a whip antenna, much longer, and I use it indoors as well. I used it more when driving all over the southeastern US and so I have more experience with it. These are just the 2 that I have tried. I have 2 of the Hustlers. One for my personal truck and one for indoor use.

Most all police and fire around me is encrypted. I can pick up some things, depending on if I’m at work or home, but not as much as I’d like to.

@@Phil_Melone The police here have been encrypted for at least 10 years. Fire went about 5 years ago. I have to listen to neighboring counties to hear anything, but it's a stretch to hear much that far away.
