Good review. I have been wavering between the Uncle Mike's seat organizer and the one from LA Police Gear. Realistically either one of them will probably work just fine for my needs, but the fact that your Uncle Mike's bag survived 7 years of almost daily use is very impressive.

For note pads. Write in the rain makes water proof ones of various sizes. They even have a field interview one that helped me greatly starting out!

Uncle Mike's fits great in my Crown Vic and the Galls fits nice in my Frontier. Got one for free and cleaned it up and I bought the Uncle Mike's one, might have been a different name but it's a clone of the Uncle Mike's version.

The surefire batteries that you were referring to are cr123 or cr123a...my opinion I have a streamlight protac 600lm,.and a Fenix PD36r-1,600lm..Fenix imo is a very good EDC....you can use cr123 and the 18650- 2,600mah battery which basically 2- cr123 stacked together .... but have new battery it's 21700 and is 5,000mah for PD36r light way brighter

@@Justthatofficer my first department I rode with a partner and this new department I ride solo. So I'm looking for a storage solution. I thought this was it but I just decided to go with the 5.11 hex grid. I liked the separate bag solutions and capartments. The one bag I chose had velcro in front and thats how I decided I would mount my printer.
