Quick to adapt, I swiftly pulled the traps, each holding three beautiful crabs, and relocated to the serene banks of the creek. Little did I know, this change of scenery would lead to an adventure beyond my wildest dreams!
Despite the challenges posed by the rocky terrain, I persisted, determined to make the most of the day. And oh boy, did it pay off! 🎣 With sheer perseverance, I managed to catch a whopping load keeper crabs, each one a testament to the thrill of the chase. But the real star of the show? A colossal monster crab that had jaws dropping and cameras rolling!

Blue Crabs. In this video, I'll be crabbing in West Ashley, Charleston, South Carolina using two-ring crab traps rigged with pyramid weights and baited with chicken legs. It's April 14 and the crabbing was excellent. After crabbing for about 3 hours, I ended up with a cooler of nice blue crabs.

Sorry that the police shut down the bridge for crabbing, but oddly enough I’d wondered if you’d have better luck crabbing from the base and now I know. 😅 Those rocks can be tough on the traps though. I lost one once by pulling too hard against rocks, and that same issue with the string net is why I only ever use the metal kind now.

No hate but u know u can switch the handle on the spinning combo to the other side so u can use it the right way

Yes, thank you. I had literally just pulled the combo out of the shipping container, put a jig on it, threw it in and got a bite on it before taking the time to switch it out. Fortunately, they work either way and I landed the fish regardless.
