This is why you should not elect a vice president separately. A VICE president should be appointed by the presidential candidate as a running mate and must be of the same political party, running on the same agenda. That area has been a no-go zone for the longest time, even for locals. He knew it was dangerous. But he married a local Muslim woman and he runs a loaning operation there with interest, both of which are haram. They say he liked to show off on his vlog, revealed a little too much about his lifestyle for clicks and mentioned that the locals don't seem to like him very much, and apparently he received threats days before he was kidnapped. Sounds more like whoever took him had a score to settle because no one has made any ransom demands (yet). I don't want to victim-blame, but it seems this could have all been avoided if he did not make a series of ill-advised decisions. Hope they find him alive soon.
