Not sure why the police and the car owners don't organise an event - fancy car owners buy a ticket, and the police close certain streets to everybody but the ticket buyers. That way, they could do a couple of laps on restricted streets for a couple of nights and bob's-your-uncle. Be like a cruise on the streets of Monte Carlo.

I would not want to live there, even if I was rich and I dont want to pay taxes. The city is chaotic, has no room for cars, to much tourists want to just show off. One cop pulls me over...and i quote "WE pulled you over because I barely saw your signal" so i say "your admitting that my blinkerwas seen" pig didnt show and I spoke with the judge. two times i had no trouble. Another pig came up as i was leaving. There's snow everywhere. I floor it until i cant see him. I stopped he says i was speeding...in 18" of snow. I said i wasnt on the street. "oh dont give me that game" ok i go first...let's go see the cam and check last time it was calbrated. said fu and drove off. never again. Kind hard to use while driving.

Monaco is not the place to show off too loudly. That has always been one of the reasons I love the place. There are multiple races each year from the Monte Carlo Rally to Porsche Supercup, FI & historical GP. If you've ever lived there it can become insane as the sound of open exhausts reverberate up into the buildings & the rock faces behind. Since Monaco is built in semicircular design it works like an amphitheater. There is nothing quite like being woken up @ 6:00am by FI's firing up... So the authorities in Monaco want visitors to understand they are certainly not on an open racing circuit..
