@Law96524 жыл бұрын
@@MrSatchelpack There are two things. One is that these vids tend to be shown in news media when they're bad, so casual viewers are usually only going to see a skewed sample. Second is that it really depends how the vids are packaged; on social media, the most brazen example of a justified shooting will still be negatively packaged by certain sections of society. This site is good for showing pretty much all the bodycam shooting vids (the good, the bad and the inconsequential). You do get a broad spectrum and very rarely do you see a shooting in which the police were, in the end, unjustified.

Thats usually how it goes. I hated cops when I was in high school. Now that I’ve seen for myself I want to be a hero like them. 99% of the time when someone says a cop shot someone because they’re black you can watch the footage and see what actually happened. It’s usually someone pulled a gun or knife or it’s suicide by cop. The media will never show who the police truly are.

100% bro. I have crazy respect for the law enforcement community. Why anyone would CHOOSE to be a cop, that to me is a mystery. Hardest fucking job in society today. There is a back and forth that goes on and on and on in all these body cam videos where a cop rolls up, being nice/polite/respectful and the individual in question is asked to comply with a request to provide ID, or tell the cop his/her name, or turn off the car (in the case of this video) and the individual is caught in the idea that they didn't do anything so why is this happening? The point that is glaringly obvious to me is if you didn't do anything then why not comply? Its so stupid - and that is why I wouldn't take this job.

For anyone wondering, the guy was a career criminal who had a rap sheet (more than 30) of crimes, he was imprisoned for some of those a few years ago. Here after endangering the police officer, he dumped the car and ran on foot and hid, after a big manhunt he was captured 8 hours later in a car ride by a family member. In his car he dumped, they found a stolen gun reported in 2016. The last time I checked he was in prison for attempted murder and others. He wasn't friendly, he was an extremely dangerous individual.
@WalkMrJ4 ай бұрын
That's funny. Because what I read was that the cop was a klansman looking for an excuse to execute undesirables. The gun in the car was a career gun and it was stashed. The crime before it was located in the SUV occurred in Florida, the day the suspect was at work.

@@johnny4481 his life was at risk. The driver wouldn't put his hands up. They don't ask to put your hands up for no reason. It's very easy to conceal a firearm in a car and it's just about as easy to get the drop on someone who isn't holding a gun using that concealed weapon. This kind of tactic is known to be both very common and very deadly in this kind of situation. The cop decides to take such measures because he was trained to take those exact measures in this exact situation. Why was he trained this way? The answer is pretty straight forward: if you hesitate to pull out your gun when the suspect reaches for something --- you die. It was no longer a "routine" traffic stop when he asked about the weed, and casually persisted without calling for backup or anything.
