And I'll never forget in 2001 when we went back for Saddam and people were saying, 'I can't believe how much of this we get to see on the news' and I reminded them I watched the beginning of the 1991 Gulf War live on CNN when it actually was a marvel of modern journalism. A prior generation had watched the Vietnam War on the evening news but they weren't watching live, raw and uncut. In WWII they had to go to the movies and watch the latest newsreel and in WWI, you were lucky to see a blurry photo in the paper. Now you can see uncut FPV combat footage from Ukraine or Palestine. Shooting not one but TWO shells after a cease fire, screaming cease fire after everyone's already echoed it, telling other officers to get back so he could get hands on, even though he was one of the furthest away and would have to cross multiple officer's line of fire, and having his TQ all fucked up when he pulled it out.
