Animals Power present:
When a policeman checks a car he must always be ready for anything.
But Officer Elyse of the South Dakota Highway Patrol certainly couldn't imagine ending up in a pleasant ambush by a cat.
"While I was explaining the reason for the check to the driver, obviously related to speed, I felt something brush against my leg,
something you want to experience when you're in the middle of nowhere and I look down and see there's an orange cat," the policewoman said.
The scene is witnessed by the video from the camera of the service car: the policewoman asked the driver if by chance that cat was his, but nothing.
He really seemed to come out of nowhere, but with a great desire for affection.
In fact, in a few moments the cat climbed onto the agent's shoulders and knocked her hat off by rubbing against her head.
At that point, officer Elyse decided to get her new furry friend into the car and asked people in the area if anyone knew him, but to no avail.
So she took him to the nearby Humane Society of the Black Hills.
Only a few days later the cat was adopted by a family.
And so the open case ended positively: "The best traffic control ever" said the officer.
Happy to have given the unexpected friend a forever home.
