It looks so delicious! Cambodia is an original homeland of kabocha pumpkin. Portuguese sailors introduced kabocha to Japan in 1541, bringing it with them from Cambodia. The Portuguese name for the squash, Camboja abóbora (カンボジャ・アボボラ), was shortened by the Japanese to kabocha. Kabocha is written in Kanji 南瓜.

Cambodian land are fertile. Any plants can grow very well with minimum fertilizer. I share this vidieo content with Muslim Cambodian refugees who settled down in Malaysia for past 45 years during Indochina war, in late 1970's... That time for sure Polin was not born yet...
