Let me tell you about my first conversation in Poland. We stepped onto the train to Kraków and sat down. I had to buy tickets, of course! A young female conductor came along selling tickets and eventually reached us. Me - Dwa bil... Her - Gdzie? Me - Główny... Her - Osiemnaście. Two seconds! I gave her a twenty złoty note, she gave me tickets and change but said nothing more - she was already selling to the next person! At least I knew what to say, how to respond, and what to pay!

Hi Ewelina, thanks for awesome content! Do you take requests? How about one with ordering at bar mleczny? (I know you already have an episode on food.) Perhaps I have a friend, or would like to eat some food there and some to take home, or add one or more sides or salads, zupa, etc. Does one ever ask lady at the counter for recommendation ("what is fresh? discounted?") Do I wait at the window for the food or at my table? Ordering at bar mleczny is so nerve-wrecking for me! And the pressure increases b/c non-Polish speakers are nonexistent these days. Thank you!
