This is what I've always wanted my life to be. Just listening to old records and making beats all day.

Really???? That's your goal in life??? Aim higher...
@Yu_SheoАй бұрын
@andredunlap9427 Aim higher than wanting music to be my career? So Dilla should've aimed higher? Madlib should aim higher? Alchemist should aim higher? Those people literally spend their days digging through old records and making beats.

That's what I was curious about - what sample chops you'll make. Every beatmaker from Poland knows these samples but it's the fresh perspective that's so interesting. Have fun and next package is coming with the record I forgot, don't worry, the record will have travel companions ;)

As always enjoyed your video, around 9.50 you said you were going to use "velocity to chop" if you could elaborate would be much much appreciated.
@mpcheadАй бұрын
If you go to program edit you'll see the option to control the start point with velocity. Then, depending on the velocity you use it will determine a new start point for the sample.
@AbdullahMehmed-m3qАй бұрын
@mpchead Thankyou for your reply much appreciated, I have noticed those options but haven't experimented with it .Thanks and all the best with everything.

What parameters are you controlling at 13:29? Is there a filter on the overall master channel of the song or something?

Why? What on earth would you need to do that you can't do on the current Octatrack? Would any minor improvements really be worth production and R&D cost, not to mention support for another distinct architecture in addition to the -takt boxes?

@@chrisscott7092 agree, I’m a big OT stan, but MK2 is all we need… that said, I would definitely buy an MK3 if it ever came out
