I could imagine a modern reworking of this with a bottom-folding stock that has a cheek-rest (so the slide doesn't bash you) and a rail for an optic screwed into the frame. slide would have to be touching your face before you pull the trigger for this to hit you. That would be user error. I fired about 1500+ rounds from RAK with no such issues. Oh, "forgotten weapons" there. I shot this toy - quite nice experience, definitely better than the "legendary" Uzi. Simple, cheap, relatively accurate. But the fact that it is not produced, it cost a penny and you do your job reliably and with passion - respect. Oj tam zaraz "zapomniane bronie".

For anyone wondering what RAK stands for. It Was in the Polish Police Arsenal until the late 90's where it Was replaced by AKS's and than the MP5 also as HK-45. I remember getting A few shots off it on the range. Its pretty accurate and you can pin Point your shots with the stock folded and a steady hand. If the stock Was a Little longer and perhaps fixed than Maybe the slide wouldnt cause so Many problems to the comfort of firing. But this weapon Was supposed to be Easy to conceal.

The two stage trigger system reminds me of something similar I did when modifying a Nerf gun, however I made it half-pull for full auto, full-pull for semi. As long as the trigger pull isn't too long or heavy, I honestly think this is better, as you need more control for full auto but you can just stop thinking and apply full pressure for a single shot. I did this because it was a conversion from full auto only, I installed a trigger disconnector based on an old Berretta pistol that kicked in at the end of travel. I also included a very simple selector switch that blocked the full trigger travel, returning full auto only function.

It sounds like a similar goal U.S. advisors had in mind when handing allied Iraqi militia groups a few thousand of our old M16A2 assault rifles, during the early 2000's: U.S. Army Officer: *Clunks a couple of bags of M16 rifles onto the floor and hands over a cart ammunition boxes* "Here you go. Basic cleaning kits will work with them, too. If you encounter a feed jam, and they will jam, just pull that little thing at the back of the breech until the round is properly chambered." Militia Leader: *Practices the motions with one, inserts an empty magazine and nods...then blinks in thought* "Hold on. What if these rifles end up in the hands of hostile forces? You know that will happen eventually." U.S. Army Officer: *Busts out laughing* "Yes, that's why we aren't handing out manuals with them. Not to worry, my friend."

It's very nice gun to shoot. All "legends" about how dangerous this weapons is, are completely untrue. The only problem was shooting in a gas mask. I shoot it often and never hit my face. I don't know what people need to do with their heads to do it. The man who was hit the glasses here, must have an extremely strange shooting position. I often shoot in full auto and I completely do not understand why you could not shoot accurately. At a distance of 20 meters, a man-sized target has no chance of survival. This is a weapon to defend yourself , for tank crews etc. RAK was designed to shoot no further than 20-30 meters.

I moim skromnym zdaniem, pozostaje taka do dziś.
