I wasn’t sure when else I could show these so I figured I can share them all in a little haul video :) so so happy to have added those cirque magnetics, and I’m generally happy with the others I picked up but maaaybe feeling some buyer’s remorse after doing comparisons? 🙈 what do you think about these shades, are they all worth keeping?

While I am sorry you regret buying dupes, the comparisons are invaluable to us as consumers trying to decide which polish to purchase (or to avoid duping our collections), so thanks for sharing the comparisons! Edited to add: I’ve been debating between Cock A Doodle Doom and Hallucinate for a few months, but I may eventually acquire both, to be completely honest! Sure, they have a similar vibe, but I could have room in my heart for both.

Yess there’s definitely a part of me that feels like I NEED to see them side by side myself lol! And I know that it would be helpful to everyone else too 😅 so I’m glad you appreciate it!! Haha yeah exactly, i think it’s easy to justify having more than one of these purple red shimmers! Even with Potion Polish I can make the argument to keep both 🙈 but at this point I feel like I just have too much and won’t wear either shade often enough to really enjoy it 💔

Do not sleep on Cock-a-doodle Doom! It was my top polish from last year after purchasing probably 150+ polishes. It lasted for two weeks for me, I’m a huge fan of Sassy Sauce polishes now. I’m currently wearing one of their pink neons and I’m obsessed! Every single shade has me staring endlessly at my nails 😅 Thank you for the comparisons! I’m more sold on Moonicorn now, seeing as I missed out on BKL.

I knowww it really is so so pretty and glowy!! I do love it so much, but I feel like I barely even wore my Potion Polish so I worry it won’t get the love it deserves 🥲 but I’m glad to hear it lasted so long for you!! Omg I think I saw that pink neon you mentioned, they def have a ton of beauties on their site !! 🤩🤩 And so glad you found them helpful!! Yeah moonicorn is really pretty, especially for spring right around the corner!!

Honestly, thank you for saying everything you said in this video. I Have absolutely purchased a polish without realizing I had something extremely similar, and it really does drive me nuts. There are definitely those who are drawn to a certain type of polish and want it in every variation, and I see nothing wrong with that either. That if it makes them happy- carry on! For me, however, I really do place more value on having variety, and I like to see fill lines on my bottles to confirm I am not wasting my space/money. I’m also spending more time on trying to dupe new releases, which I think has been really good for me in terms of remembering what is already in my collection, and helps me appreciate what I already own. Usually I can get passably close and am happy with that, but if I can’t and I do truly still want the new shade, I go ahead and grab it.

@@PolishedYogi I've got a pretty good amount of holo taco polish. The brand came out around the same time i was discovering indie polish so it was a really great starting point! I also have one live love polish i got right before the rebrand! And of course a lot of polish from more mainstream brands I'd really like to try more from Mooncat, ILNP and olive ave! It looks like there are so many great places to shop from, but I would hate to have to pay the shipping cost to make small orders from a bunch of different brands😂

Lavender Mint is gorgeous! I have Doomicorn and I love how sheer it is and how packed with shifty shimmer but...Lavender Mint...I definitely sleep on Pahlish.

I didn’t know about the existence of Cirque Colors Oracle and Clairvoyant. Now I want both polishes so bad. Because you know girl this is our type. Nos everything has more sense to me why I bought BAE and Halo when I did my very first purchase. I remember they said they were bringing them back. Also, I’m so regret I never ended up buying Introverde. I’m glad there is a dupe out there. For the mean time I’ll call myself with my Earth to Gaia bottle.

aren’t those Cirque magnetics just sooo pretty!! the Aura collection really was super gorgeous! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 hopefullyyyy they will bring back at least one of these!! 💜 and aw yeah Introverde really is a beautiful green, but yes at some point there will be another polish similar enough! i think Lurid is great alternative whenever you run out of Earth to Gaia, you would just need to add a dainty holo topper and you pretty much have Introverde, just a little lighter hehe.

I'm guilty as charged of buying similar polishes too lol. When I first started getting into indie brands I bought a bunch of I Scream Nails multichromes and then a few months later bought near-dupes for all of them from ILNP lol. The good news is the ILNP ones are elite compared to ISN. It happens to the best of us, so I hope you don't beat yourself up over it

Ahh I'm so glad you got your hands on the 2 Cirques, they truly are the best!! 🤩 I need Cirque to bring them back asap so I can get backups, I'm so worried to run out of my bottles that I rarely use them. I'm also so guilty of buying polishes I already have and trying to convince myself that they're not the same lol I desperately want Cock-A-Doodle Doom although I already have Glampire (and Doom is basically Glampire without the red flakes)... but I still WANT it so bad 😅 I feel like every polish fan has their 'type' and buys a lot of dupes. @@PolishedYogi Yes; the finishes are different. Party Punch is glitter while Cirque is a jelly flakie, like you said. The flakes in the Beaux Reves are larger. Color is basically the same though for both, so unless you were getting in there close, it wouldn't look different. 🫣

Lurid and Introverde are definitely not dupes =D The Cirque is a bit more of a bigger particle shimmer and just a bit more glittery than the creamy Lurid. It depends how much you like the shade of green. I have a bunch of those combos including the lurid, and definitely still want Earth to Gaia.

Man I love cockadoodle doom. but i have it's predecessor, glampire, and idk if I can justify it. That Dam in the comparisons tho...hello XD fwiw, i wouldn't call introverde a dupe of the lurid haha. I always dupe myself on green magnetics. I just love green. and magnetics. and idk I always think they're different 'enough' and like, I guess they are...mostly. but sometimes it's like starrily pluto vs cirque mood ring, nearly identical. i tell myself I'm a green magnetic sommelier lol. I think the only other thing i've duped myself on were plain jellies. I am slightly obsessed with having a "perfect" rainbow, especially the primaries in jellies so I could layer them to achieve any colour. In this quest I've duped pink jellies and primary blue jellies. ah well.

I have like one million jellies in general. since i have no nail socials it would actually be embarrassing to list them all, but the colours i have the hardest time finding the perfect ones (for me) are pink and blue!! like a magenta and cyan for layering. my closest are xoxo jelly and maybe aqua jelly, both from cirque. tbh neither fit the bill! i also have a bunch of pinky nudes, the orly pink jelly poolside, and a few bright sapphire blues that don't mix well in layering. OMG this is so so stinking long haha but i just love nail polisssshhh XD

Ahh I know it’s hard narrowing it down when they have such beautiful options to choose from 🙈 I was eyeing a couple of them but I think I’ll only be getting The Refuge of Your Presence and A Formidable Opponent this Friday! I also really love The Sanctuary of Our Love but it looks really similar to LynB’s Bittersweet Chocolate which I just added to my collection. Also really love Beautiful Day for a Bee Sting but it reminds me of MC’s River Styx, I think the lime green from the new collection is also so fun but I don’t think I’d end up wearing it often 🙈

when you magnetize in the velvet effect does it stay like that? like after 24 hours does it stay plush or does it look like you just normally painted on the nail polish? when I've done the cat eye effect it spreads and doesn't stay a tight line so I' curious how the velevet affect lasts.

It won’t stay EXACTLY this plush looking, there will be some settling as it happens with all regular magnetic polish (gel magnetics actually last long because they’re cured) but I do still see an effect! I think it would be more noticeable in polishes like cirque that have the jelly base, but not in more opaque magnetics like from holo taco where it can end up looking flat, it could also be the magnetic pigment and not just the base but generally cirque velvet nails hold up pretty well!

magnetics are definitely tedious! and a lot of people don’t like that the effect doesn’t last as long as gels, they end up diffusing a bit after a day but personally i find you can still see the effect, its just not as sharp/crisp if that makes sense lol so it depends on how long you wear your manis, if magnetics would be worth it! but maybe you can try onee just to see how you like it hehe and ahh i forgot to include the shops, but i just updated my description!!

I can kinda see that, their bases are very soothing colors! Maybe it’s just me but Devils Ivy leans a lot more blue toned like a celadon, so it’s not as sea foamy or jade green as Nettle. I’d love to see more shades like Devils Ivy though!!

Aaaaaaaah beautiful haul Stefanie 💜💜💜 I was ogling Cock A Doodle just earlier and escaped just before hitting check-out, went to my Helmer and counted 8 various purples with various red shimmer, Sassy Sauce Glampire just one of them. Which shows that I have a pattern 🤓. Since I reorganized my collection by color and then by finish I order less duplicates but just this week I received Fancy Gloss Elementalist and Phoenix Marvellous Unicorns which I both ordred within days of each other 🫣🙄 The only difference I can detect now is one has smaller flakes than the other 😝and Doomicorn is amazing in a sandwich with a topper in my opinion. And lastly I allow myself to rather collect a few very similar shades than back-ups

I wouldn’t call Lurid “Nettle & Briar” and Cirque “ dupes, more like sisters. Omg! Why am I on a no buy until June??😫 Lurid Lacquer opens March 15 and I know I will want to buy 100,000 polishes😅 *whispers “heeeeellllppp meeeee”* Thank you as always for your comparisons! Also don’t be so hard on yourself about having similar polishes! I do the same thing with my burgundy and dark brown liquid lipsticks! Every time I look at my lippie container, I am like “huh, these all are the same color but different brands.” I roll my eyes but do I learn my lesson? 😂Nope, I am going to order- you guessed-burgundy lipsticks from Dior in June. so glad you loved those!! and yeah i think calling Cirque and Lurid sisters is very accurate hehe they have soo many similar elements! i think if cirque was lighter i would call them dupes, even tho Lurid is missing the holo 🤔 and LOL i knoww i’m sorry! hopefully she’ll be able to keep some polishes around in the future when you’re off your no buy 🤞🏼 and i really appreciate you commiserating with me about buying similar things 🙈🙈 it can be so hard when we just have a type lol! and part of me feels like i NEED to see/compare them myself to REALLY know for sure if they’re dupes or not lol 🤣 but you know what that that burgundy Dior lipstick is gonna look amazing on you so treat yourself!! 😌🥰
