Mothers is pretty awesome stuff. I’ve seen this in other videos too. Have you used this for any customers? Did you also clear coat them after or just a quick polish?

I clearcoat after polishing. I use the maguairs headlight coating. Polishing alone with a clear coat will not last.

@@VeteranHeadlightPro I'm confused by your comment. Do you mean you polish, clear coat and then coat with maguairs? I just bought and used it and it works great. I'm hoping to not have to clear coat. I wouldn't mind polishing once or twice a year.

Thanks for sharing. Would a 303 graphene detailer coat for UV protection be a good addition to this after you buff it with mothers? Thanks

This is what a review says on Amazon, there are many same.......................''I bought this product after watching a few KZbin videos about how good it is for restoration of foggy headlights on the car. I am totally disappointed, it did absolutely nothing. It seems to me that the KZbin videos promoting this for headlight restoration are just a scam.''

It only works on lightly oxidized headlights. Most headlights require sanding in multiple stages followed by a polish and a clear coat.

I rarely polish headlights without having to sand them. I usually start off with a P500 then a P800 and lastly a 3000 trizact pad. Then i buff and polish with a compound and finish with a clear coat.

What kind of polisher do you use? I use the ac delco amzn.to/3rI6pH3 ...i love this thing. I am normally working away from a power source so i had to buy a polisher that was battery operated. I started this journey of headlight restoration with a very limited budget so i opted to go with the ac delco mini polisher. I normally dont get more than 4 to 5 jobs in one day and the polisher from ac delco handles the job beautifully. Great little polisher. You can get it through my amazon link here amzn.to/3rI6pH3

@@VeteranHeadlightPro Ryobi makes a variable speed polisher that uses the one+ battery system. Also I have been using a wipe on headlight coating, but the 2k clear lasts longer.

@@allenwilson6585 i will have a video or two put out in the coming weeks on a clearcoat that requires no polishing. 3 sanding stages and then wipe with alcohol and clear coat it. From what the company has told me, its really good and each can will do up to six vehicles. I am looking forward to getting a can to try out. If i can get 6 vehicles done with one can and reduce the actual working time it takes to complete a job..thats great. I am not a huge fan of 2k..when it goes bad its hard as hell to remove.

@@allenwilson6585 The ac delco is more compact. It has two speeds low/high. When your tool bag is already filled with a drill and a blower...the compact size of the ac delco really comes in handy. I can fit the drill/polisher/blower and accessories into one bag. The ryobi is too big for adding to my bag. I dont want to have to carry two work bags to a job if i can use one.
