Political & Decisions Menu, Focuses in Hearts of Iron IV | Beginners Guides

Overwhelmed by all the political focuses, advisors and decisions when I started out in Hearts of Iron IV, I set out to make it my mission to make this video for you!
You, dear viewer, who will hopefully learn from this the ability to decipher all the various focus trees and see through the smog of localised names for the exact same advisors.
And if you haven’t learnt something from this video after 10 minutes, well the issue must be with you, not me, I’m a KZbinr and can do no wrong.
The Beginner's Guide series is for new players to learn the core concepts of Hearts of Iron IV. All these tutorials are assuming players are using the vanilla (un-modded) version of the game, and have not yet purchased any DLCs.

My name is Hammo and I stream on Twitch! I play a variety of RTS and strategy games, but my favourite game by far is Hearts of Iron IV.
I love this game and it's complexity, strategy and historical focus, but these are also reasons people can find it hard to get into Hoi4. The endless spreadsheets, statistics, buffs and debuffs can be overwhelming without someone to show you the ropes, which is where this channel comes in!
I will be creating and posting beginners guides, tutorials, walkthroughs, tips and tricks videos, just about everything I can to get you playing and enjoying Hearts of Iron IV as much as I do!

I love HOI4 but have start/stopped a dozen games because I feel like something wasn’t clicking. there was a mission where i needed to have a general have a trait like bukharesti or something like that. However i had no idea how to make this happpen i found the general but i couldnt just put a trait on him. Help what to do ?

Can you make a guide on how to play this game with the TINY text that cannot be scaled up (no, the scaling option in the game is not an answer, it makes everything blurry) on anything 1080p or above? seems like the hardest part about this game. Literally no idea how people play this game with this horrible tiny UI.

@@hammotimee The fact that ui scale in this game makes the UI\text blurry is a known and objective fact. So I'm not sure whats working for you about it, you either have super vision or you somehow don't notice the massive blur for some reason.
