@@abm9621 The problem that since Mumbai is an island it cannot grow horizontally is not a problem at all. It is an excuse by the politicians and builder nexus to build skyscrapers and coastal roads on expensive Mumbai land and even worse bridges in the ocean(e.g. Bandra-Worli sea link) to make quick and huge money at the expense of destroying nature (and its beauty), of sane living in and of sane development of Mumbai. The FSI must be fixed at 1or less and the height of buildings must be fixed at 98 feet or less both depending on the natural underground water-table level (this will control the population explosion and keep population at the right level/square km. Also this will prevent an already worldwide hazardous phenomenon called 'the sick building effect' which leads to death due to cancer, kidney failure, TB, chronic respiratory disorders amongst others. Also this will prevent an already worldwide catastrophe i.e. flooding that happens because higher FSI and taller buildings lead to larger underground foundations of those buildings which leads to less space for water both in the rocky aquifers and the soil which leads to a catastrophic rise in the water-table which leads to flooding. 1. Why are Shekhar and DK making such a big issue of who would be Maharashtra CM!!! The 2.5 year Govt was over and ground situation changed after the elections. BJP was going to have its CM in any case but it gave a long rope to Sena to ensure that it did not appear that BJP acted with high handedness. Devendra is a cultured person and would ensure that everyone will be taken along. As regards Devendra's choice, there was never any doubt if anyone knows Maharashtra. And DK obviously does not know Maharashtra ( and if he relied on Manasi, then he misunderstood her!) and has been talking illogically, as he looks at everything with anti Modi anti Shah glasses!!! 2. Fadnavis 3.0 will be a smooth govt and there would be a full focus on governance and development. Fadnavis is a strong, potential PM candidate post 2029 as and when Modi decides to call it a day. With Yogi and Himanta, BJP has a strong second line at the national level. 3. The entire discussion in the podcast is useless and has been done umpteen times in the past 2 weeks. In fact, it is little surprising that Maharashtra received so much of national media attention this time around!!! 2 weeks of time for deciding the CM and govt is nothing unusual but media wanted it to done and sorted on the day 1 or 2 itself!!!

Applaud SG's ability to wonderfully prove how BJP, Devendra & Narendra (the dbl-engine model) has been good for Mumbai, and how dreadful was Uddhav Thakeray & his motley gang of utterly stupid people like Sanjay Raut n all. Uddhav screwed up big time in terms of governance.. Pawar if one observes has been utterly selfish & self centered and never did justice to his work & the massive political roles he got. Not even as Agriculture Cabinet Minister for 10yrs nor as multiple times CM of Maharashtra, except for bringing in the sale & buy (tod-phod) of politicians & feathering his own meat (lavasa, magarpatta, Balewadi, & so on & so forth)

It is so sad to see Mumbai ignored so much, Mumbai is the financial capital of India and it's been ignored so much in terms of public Infrastructure. Mumbai should see the infrastructure development on the level of Delhi if not more. With Fadnavis coming back to power I hope all the Metro lines which are currently under construction are put to fast track and we are able to see their completion before his current term ends.

What Mansi said is correct about DF handling bureaucracy and war rooms and DK wrong. Fadnavis was not a mass leader 2014-2019. Being Brahmin he was not mass leader. Unlike Yogi who was given the mass leader role already by Unification of Hindus in UP, Devendra had to do both, unification of Hindus and centralisation of power to him, get bureaucracy with him, appeal to masses that he is the progressive leader. He came against all odds in Maharashtra where hindu votes do get split but he was able to get them together because of his image of statesmanship. He earned the mass leader by sheer grit

The problem that since Mumbai is an island it cannot grow horizontally is not a problem at all. Also this will prevent tripling or quadrupling of electricity bills which happens because tall buildings lead to almost no daylight penetration on the ground or inside the houses or offices which leads to usage of electricity throughout the day for light and air-conditioning which leads to multiple times higher bills. ) . Fadnavis has set in an ecosystem where the smallest information relevant to him reaches him on time hence he controls everything so excellently.Even when he was leader of opposition he got all the information of what the government is upto. The best example of this is the case of Pravin Chavan, public prosecutor, who was cooking false cases against Fadnavis and Mahajan, sitting in his office in Pune.Fadnavis showed a 55 minute footage in the assembly of Pravin Chavans office while doing what he was doing.Pravin Chavan was bamboozled after knowing about such footage.

Dear Gupta Ji, My reading is little different. In my view first ten year BJP central leadership pull/added vote for the state leadership and now state popular leader will help BJP in centeral to be popular. See after winning Maharashtra and Haryana helped/added to central BJP popularity. Competition between fadnavis and Yogi will help central BJP if managed well. Modi popularity in 2019 was peak and weakening but this added quantum will not let it weaken so soon.

CTC haa missed lot of points. You have made a big mistake in equating maharashtra with mumbai. No, it is totally opposite. See, the biggest challenge for the govt is not at all mumbai s infrastructure. It is to solve the development parity in the state. You have to get rid of mumbai pune belt for industrial development. I think samruddhi was aimed at that We ll have to see once that is completed. Mansi completely missed fadnavis work on water conservation and power. UBT was a disaster for Maharashtra without a doubt. Dharavi might look glamorous, but the real challenge is to eradicate farmer suicides. The reason why mumbai has not gone the way delhi has in infrastructure is because most of the times it is ruled by sena. Which was for all practical purposes a communist party. The episode was like what we call in marathi untavar basun shelya hakne. Need to look beyond mumbai friends.
