Political Ecologies of Extractive Resources_Gavin Bridge_part I

Prof. Bridge introduces a rise of ways of thinking about extraction and theories. The purpose is to learn how we might conceptualize what is political ecology extraction. Extraction covers a wide variety of commodities such as fish, water, fruits, resins, nests, plants, energy resources and raw materials among others. This is the second lecture of the first SIC course organized by the University of Manchester under the FP7-Marie Curie project “The European Network of Political Ecology”; Manchester, 18th-22th February 2013.
