I have a financial background and understand how to read financial reports. They weren’t given billions. They received minimal cash and the assets returned to them are low yielding. It will take atleast 50 years for iwi to build up their asset base and cashflow to even start considering supporting their people. Comments like this that I see all the time are just absolutely ridiculous. People just expect iwi to spend all the money right now. No… they need to increase their income producing assets first.
