इसलिए उत्तर (c) Only three है।

C.only three (1,2,4) 1.Correct Because The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is responsible for auditing the revenue and expenditure of the government, and also examines the annual report of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). 2.Correct because The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) can also review the performance of regulatory bodies created by an Act of Parliament, such as the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), and Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). 3.Wrong Because the chairman of the PAC is selected from the opposite party not the ruling party. 4.Correct The public account committee consists of 22members elected from the lok sabha and 7 members elected from the rajyasabha, every year.

Answer. (C) Only three is correct

Answer: (b) only two Explanation: 1. Is incorrect as PAC only Examines the Annual Audit Reports submitted by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) to ensure public funds are utilized efficiently. 2. Is correct as Public Accounts Committee (PAC) can review the performance of regulatory bodies like the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), for eg. If the CAG conducts a performance audit of TRAI's functions (such as spectrum allocation, licensing policies, or regulation of telecom tariffs), the PAC can review the findings and hold the authority accountable for lapses. 3. Is incorrect as PAC Chairman is traditionally from the Opposition party, ensuring neutrality. Appointed by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. 4. Is correct as Total: 22 members (15 from the Lok Sabha and 7 from the Rajya Sabha). Members are elected annually by proportional representation through a single transferable vote.

Solution:- Option 1- Correct : As The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is responsible for auditing the revenue and expenditure of the government to ensure financial accountability and transparency. Like :Examination of CAG Reports, Scrutiny of Appropriation Accounts, Revenue Collection Analysis, Calling Witnesses and Reviewing Records. Option 2: Correct:- the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Parliament of India can review the performance of regulatory bodies established by an Act of Parliament, such as the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The PAC's review of regulatory bodies aims to improve governmental oversight and the effective use of public funds .As The PAC recently decided to review the performance of regulatory bodies, including SEBI, in response to allegations of conflict of interest against SEBI's chairperson, Madhabi Puri Buch. The PAC also plans to review the performance of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) Option 3:- Incorrect -the chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is not a member of the ruling party by convention: Explanation:Lok Sabha speaker is the authority to appoint the chairman of the committee. The Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee used to be appointed from the ruling party of the day until 1966-67 however; a convention later decided that the chairman of the committee will be appointed invariably from the opposition party. Option 4:- Correct -members of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) are elected annually from both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha Explanation:Members of Parliament Standing Committees (PSCs) are elected from both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha by the Parliament every year. The PSCs are permanent committees that are reconstituted with each new election Therefore,(c) Option only 3 is the correct one

Correct Answer -Option (a) only one Option 1. Incorrect- The CAG is the body responsible for auditing, while the PAC is responsible for reviewing the audit findings. Option2. Incorrect- because Regulatory bodies like TRAI are generally reviewed by parliamentary standing committees relevant to their domain (e.g., the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology). Option 3. Incorrect-Untill 1966-67 ,the chairman of the committee is appointed from ruling party by the speaker however since 1967 the convention was changed whereby the chairman is selected from the opposition . Option 4.Correct-The members of the committee are elected from parliament i.e from both the houses every year
