I bought mine a few months ago and for the money I don't think I could have done better. it's a great little sub. Btw I have 60 year old tube equipment so the speaker level inputs/outputs were really helpful and the main selling point for me. Nice review. I was curious what other people think of this sub.

I amazed that people saying this sub doesn't bump... I have the exact same sub and it shakes the walls in my theater setup with AVR .. I have 2 now love them

nice review! thanks for taking the time to review this. Just bought this today to add to my home theater for $100 @ Bestbuy (now 7.2 channels), will give it time to break in. I hear echos in your room, you may need some sound treatment if your not liking the way sub/speakers sound.

Loved this Subwoofer so much thatvthge Very next day I returned my 10 inch Klipsch Sub, and bought a second Polk Audio PSW108. My Home Theater/Surround Sound System is Finally Complete. Although I may Purchase a pair of Polk Audio Signature Series S60's. My Entire System is a Dolby Atmos 7.2 Setup. I am using a Yamaha TSR-7850R same as the Yamaha Adventege Dolby Atmos/DTS-MA 5.1/7.1/DTS-X Full 4K HDR10+ High Resolution Stereo Receiver. 2 Pairs of Klipsch R41SA Dolby Atmos Enabled/Elevation Speakers, 1 Pair of Klipsch R51M Reference Bookshelf Speakers, 1 Polk Audio Signature Series High Resolution S35 Center Channel Speaker, 2 Polk Audio PSW108 Subwoofers, a Technics SH-GE70 Stereo Graphic Equalizer, a Sony X800 Full 4K/2160p Blu-ray Player, a HiMedia Q10 Pro 4K UHD HDR10+ Dolby Atmos Media Player, 4 x 6TB HARD DRIVES LOADED With All 4K Movies and 1080p Upscaled/Converted TV Shows,, an MX 8K ULTRA HDR+ Media Player fully Tested on a Friends 8K 7920/4320p Ultra High Def TV, a Sony PS4 Pro, and it is Hooked up to my 65 inch TCL 6 Series Ultra HDR10+ TV. Before I got the Polk I wasn't happy with Klipschs Reference 10 inch sub that is was Over Priced. I tested both Klipschs 10 inch vs Polks PSW108 in the Best Buy Store and Everybody who was with me including a few Best Buy Workers all Agreed that the Polk Audio Actually beat out Klipsch and played Crystal Clear at a lower Frequency of around 20Hz, Even though Polk advertises it was around 40Hz. All I can say is I am Extremely well pleased with my set up. I still have no need to even put it above -20DB's. But I did crank it way up and it still Played Crystal Clear, and not only Movies sound like I'm in an Actua Dolby Atmois Movies Theater. But Music also Sounds Amazing. I tested and took around 30 Hours To break all the Speakers in. I reccomend for Testing Movies. Any John Wick Movie and any Marvel movie that Plays in Atmos, I was Amazed when I watched the movie "PIXELS." And to test sound quality of music Guns N Roses "November Rain" or Metallica "Nothing Else Matters." one day I am Going to Add Polk Audios Signature Series S60's, and also add 2 x 15 inch Sub's. For an even Better Experience. one day they S60's are gonna happen. But may not need the Additiona 15 inch Sub's? It may be overkill? I will warn people that the Polk PSW108's are not the same as the Earlier Polk PSW10's which had a tun of Issues and Problems. The Silver Faced ones look Similar but are in no way the same.. The Polk Audio PSW108's are not advertised as High Resolution Subwoofers. But they 100% are. FACT: Polk Audio are High Quality for an Amazing Price.

Polk Audio PSW Series PSW 108 is alot better than the PSW 10. The PSW 10 has had seriousl issues, ranging from Distortion issues to the circuit board overheating and burning out. I had purchased the PSW 10 and returned it a few days later. I then bought a Klipsch 10 inch subwoofer and I also purchased a Polk Audio PSW108 subwoofer to compare the Klipsch vs Polk Audio. The very next day I returned the Klipsch Sub and went back to Bestbuy and purchased a second PSW108 because it sounds amazing. I read the reviews on the PSW 10 and the reviews were almost all bad. I then read the reviews on the PSW108 and 95% of the reviews were all 5 star Reviews. Only a few were 1 Star, only because those subs were Dead on Arrival. I use the 2 PSW108's along with my Klipsch Dolby Atmos Surround Sound System. And it sounds truly amazing. I don't know why the reviewer of the video didn't have Deep Bass ground shaking results. Because I have. My whole Apartment thumped! And the Clearity is awesome! So for the Polk Audio PSW 108 series. I rated them 5 stars. My Klipsch didn't perform with Clearity like the Polk Audio and I thought the Klipsch would have been better. But in the end. Polk Audio PSW 108 rocks! And for only $124.00 at Bestbuy. The regular price is $199.99 and the PSW 10 subs are $129.00 only but have many issues. The PSW 108 is actually the first PSW 10 inch sub. It came out before the PSW 10. The reason Polk Audio Re-Newed them is because of the consumers and their happyness with the sub and the ratings. With only one Polk sub I was blown away. But I added the second because my Yamaha TSR 7850R has 2 sub ports. So my surround sound system is a Dolby Atmos TrueHD 7.2.2 System. For the price. Yo will not get a more Quality Subwoofer. And at a Great price that the people at Bestbuy said the price will go back up to the original price of $199.99. On eBay I've even seen the PSW108 at an even bigger price of $245.00 and those were Floor mideks/Open Box. So for a great investment I recommend these Polk Audio PSW108's. Because they play the same as the Polk Audio Signature Series 10 inch HTS Subwoofer. For hundreds of dollars cheaper. And they are High Resolution. It's just the circuit board p, and Sub Feet that makes them appear cheaper. People when purchasing your speakers for whatever system I recommend for home theater to allow 20 Hours to truly break these in. And around 25-30 hours of breaking them in for Music. Another recommendation I have is for Polk Audio Signature Series S35 Center Channel Speaker. It was another that was way cheaper than the Klipsch R34 Center Channel Speaker and performed exactly the same and I saved another almost $250.00. I immediately returned the Klipsch Center Channel and Sub because Polk Audio had them beat at price and in quality. Except Klipsch Subwoofer was built more solid. I also suggest that when install the 2 Subs to actually use a "Y" RCA 2 into 1 cable because I found the sound quality more efficient and the Loss bass-wide sounded so clear and free of Distortion. When using only one RCA cable in either the right or left the subwoofer sounded weaker. So if you're looking to buy Quality and save a bundle. Get the Polk Audio PSW108's and Signature Series S35 Center Channel. You won't be disappointed at all. Truly Avoid the Polk PSW 10 Series. They nearly look the same. But truly are not.

@@NitishRaj Hello, I recently bought the Klipsch 10 inch Subwoofer. About a few days later, I went to Best Buy and did a comparison there I the store. They sounded Exactly The same. Except the price of the Klipsch was Over $200 more than the Polk Audio PSW 108. I purchased the Polk Audio PSW 108 and hooked it up along with the Klipsch Sub. I noticed that the Polk Audio gave a much better results. Had more Clearity, and I couldn't believe that it was performing better than the Klipsch. So I decided to ship back the Klipsch, and went straight back to Best Buy to get a second Polk PSW 108. I spent only $124.00 for each Polk Sub and they are Rock Solid. The Klipsch does have a more Quality build on its circuit board. I don't know how the Polk Audio PSW 108 will compare to a "12 inch Klipsch Subwoofer?" But all I know is that I have been very happy with my purchase of the 2 Polk subs. I even chose the Polk Audio Signature Series S35 Center Channel Speaker instead of the Klipsch R-34C. Because both are High Resolution, and again Polk Audio beats Klipsch at the pricing range. But I will warm you. Do not buy a Polk Audio PSW 10 Silver faced Front Firing Sub. It may look similar to the PSW 108. But they are different. The PSW 10 has had some major issues with the circuit boards, and the subwoofers being Dead on Arrival. Polk Audio addressed this issue by Re-Newing their PSW 108. You can check out the reviews. That's what made me give the PSW 108 a shot. And believe me. After they've been broken in. They play at lower frequencies then advertised. Around 20Hz at lows. It's hard comparing a 10 inch subwoofer to a 12. Because the 12 inch Klipsch is way higher it watts and I believe it's on sale now cheaper than their 10 inch Klipsch Subwoofer. For me, 2 x PSW 108's was perfect for My Dolby Atmos Surround Sound Home Theater System. Both Companies are great. Polk even makes a more expensive 10 and 12 inch Subwoofers. They're I believe part of the Signature Series Products. So because I'm a convince consumer. I tested both Klipsch and Polk. And to me, Polk Wins in the 10 inch Subwoofer comparison. I am very happy with my choice. But some Audiophiles are different. Polk Audio after I did my review upped the price for the Polk Audio PSW 108's to $199.99 But Best Buy has them on sale right now again for $149.00 Only thing I dislike about the PSW 108 subwoofers are there little legs. I will be switching them out to a more cooler looking legs, I found on eBay. Hope this help? Good luck with your choice.

@@NitishRaj and the Polk Audio had Less Distortion. My Receiver is a Yamaha Adventage 7.2.2 same as the Yamaha TSR-7850R 7.2.2 both Dolby Atmos Receivers.

The reason it didn't shake anything is because believe it or not speakers have a break in period. I have a 7.2 channel system with 2 of these exact subs and at first I was like they're just ok. But after a few weeks of playing them at a low to mid level I opened them up and they shake the entire house. Best subs for the money hands down and then some. Definitely recommend

Open the Box up and on the back side of the port they have some plastic bars going across I don't know what therefore but if you remove those you will not have port noise..

I bought my dream amp/dac. Kinda experience and a nice elac speaker's. I bought this subwoofer but could not use it because i did not have the right cable. Got the cable today and this sub is pretty good. I use to own a very nice $500 powerful subwoofer but this sub is not that bad. Happy i bought it even though my elac speakers do have enough bass. I mainly listen to jazz and classical music. It's ok with rock. Don't need that much bass

Nice review. I agree about the break in time. When I first hooked it up I thought I may have made a mistake in my purchase. But after several hours of use it really sound excellent now. I payed $149 at Best Buy and think its worth every penny.

Thanks for the honest review. I picked up 2 PSW108's for my 7.2 home theater system for $220 out the door at Best Buy. Sound great, and should keep me going for awhile until I can save up for an SVS sub.

It’s a phase shift of the sine wave (aka sound wave from the sub). Sometimes the sub might be out of phase with the rest of the speakers.

That won’t work you need a receiver with phono input and regular book shelf or tower speakers to hear the music best .
