Wish I had done the MM speakers instead of the DB. The DB speakers sound good too but I can hear the difference.

I started with the DB’s. You’re right, the MM’s do sound better. They have a better thump. Not to mention, they’re much lighter. I still have the DB’s, though, just in case.

Lol! Great song though. A lot of songs get blocked by KZbin, for copyright infringement. This song didn’t. Van Halen songs are damn near impossible

I have a softail deluxe with 5” stretch bags and I’m doing dual 6x9s in each one. And have been trying to decide on which speaker. And I think Polk is gonna be the way to go. Sounds great man.

I can almost hear the sound quality through my speakers and they aren't even ampped yet this looks legit setup especially for a harley looks like you got the polks at 150 watts but the amp is 100 watts which isn't a bad ratio you need at least 2/3rds power to make anything shine imo but it could use more power for sure I'm putting 210 watts to each channel of my polks they'll have plenty of headroom with that
@BafflingBS5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I’m happy with it. The Rockford, in my case, is putting out 112 watts rms, per channel. They always under rate their amps. Mine is actually on the low end, as well
@jasoncarreiro864 жыл бұрын
BafflingBS yeah mine came in at over 600 watts also. Good lil amps

Sick bro I got 2x kenwood kfc x 100 subs with a kenwood excelon kdc x 303 head unit 300 watt amp for the subs and just got the polk audio 692's ... Were you rather disapointed with them until you put an amp to them? I'm getting the nvx JAD 10004 for them y ou think this is a good pair to the polks? I had this amp recommended by sonic electronix. what do you have your settings set to for the EQ I have my in dash eq set to something like 7 6 5 4 3 2 2 3 3 4 5 5 5 it has 13 bands so it goes from 62,5 at 7 to 16k at 5 at the end there. What do you think about using space enhance and sound realizer? Thanks man

how much cutting did you have to do to get those to fit in the Harley lids?
@BafflingBS6 жыл бұрын
Clint Roweton you have to completely cut the basket down flush, and then sand smooth. If you have the right tools, it’s not that bad.
@clintroweton17536 жыл бұрын
BafflingBS so do you have to mount them from under the lid or does the speaker still mount in the hole like the 5x7? If you have any pics of them without the grill on that would. E really helpful. Just trying to decide what to go with as I really like the look of the oem lids. And did you flash your radio if so what flash did you go with as those sound really good
@BafflingBS6 жыл бұрын
Clint Roweton I did flash it, and I have 2 line levelers (Biketronics). The adapters I used, are Vtwin, and they mount underneath. If you don’t already have the Boom lids, I would go with the Rockford Fosgate kit. You would simply cut the lids, via. template, and the mount would be more flush. An awesome design!
