WONDERFUL! Not a dancer - just a pianist looking for inspiration. This is so much fun, though! I'm so glad I decided to hunt for this! Thanks so much for sharing!

For some really different versions, listen to many youtube videos 1) Gouadeloupe and Martinique ( now called Mazouk) 2) Puerto Rico 1 3) Mexico (less common) etc.? 1 PR Mazurca video is under "Gibaro De PR--- ?" (to add) 2 G. M. Mazurca usually has percussion from set of Gwo, Ka drums, at times + woodblock.

For Puerto Rico example 1) Gibaro De PR. Danzas puertorriquenas is partly mislabels 1st--- Danza Puertoriquena is. 2/4 time single couple dance derived from PR version of contradanza, from English Country Dance 2nd is Mazurca Puertoriquena Piano.musics, from Juan Morel Campos etc 19th c. PR composers Gouadeloupe + Martinique at times uses much percussion--- 3 sorts of two ka drums + wood block (or at times only with woodblock + etc. band). KZbin is full of many Mazouk examples (+ Haute Taille, Quadrille, Bigiine, (Beguine, etc. in 2/4). Hope that these help-- BUT scores and sheet music ?? Mazurek is original Polish name

Great lesson! Like and Sub :) Please let me recommend another Polish dance (also music style) - Polonez (also known as Polanaise). It is a very distinguished dance, noble, but to this day - as far as I know - it is danced at the opening of many school and student balls. Chopin also composed some beautiful polonaises. An example of a very beautiful and nostalgic polonaise is "Farewell to the Fatherland" by the Polish composer Michal Kleofas Oginski. The title says a lot, because it was the most difficult time for the Polish Kingdom Commonwealth (in the 19th century after its partitions by several invaders/countries). Link separately because I don't know if it's allowed to give links so that bots don't remove my recommendation. Regards

Post Scriptum: "Farewell to Fatherland" - polonaise (symphony version): kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqvMeZKojNF_mdU and piano version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2TEd6F5ltN9Y80 but as I wrote it's also beautiful dance.
