GEN (which is where most of the logic of the patch happens) will run with your license, however to edit you will need a cross grade to Max 8 as stated on C74 website: support.cycling74.com/hc/en-us/articles/360049845974-Common-questions-about-Max-for-Live Cheers!

Holy shit, you work quickly. Masterful. I have ableton 11 suite which includes M4L, but I haven’t started to tackle the rabbit hole of learning Max yet. Forgive me, but I have a total noob question: are you able to distort imported images within a patch in similar ways that you distort and modulate the initial sphere in this video? The Cycling74 site makes it seem like the sky’s the limit with creating audiovisual art with Max, but then all the videos I see on KZbin are just how to create jitter graphics.. which is cool, but the jitter stuff somehow lacks a human element to it (besides the fact that a human has to program the effects). For example could an image of a face be “imported” or “uploaded” into a patch and then be distorted in fun and creative ways? I apologize if this comment reads off as condescending in any way, I don’t mean to sound condescending and I definitely need to watch more videos, but I’m curious to see what Max can do beyond just making funky, audio-reactive shapes. I’ll have to check out some more of your videos and maybe I’ll have answered my own question before you see this. Again, masterful work here. Thanks for the upload.

Hi! Make sure that the jit.world is switched on with the toggle to get a bang to fpsgui. For plugin make sure you have some audio the track and that Live is playing.

Hey, I'm very new to Ableton and I am having trouble with the jjit.fpsgui and editing the fps to dim. The numbers are also not changing they just say 0.000000. I'm assuming it' because there is no movement in the toggle box. You show this in your video from 1:30 onwards. Do you know what the reason could be or why this is happening?

Hey! To change from fps to dim simply click on the triangle in the bottom of the jit.fpsgui object, with the patch locked. The numbers will change when a new matrix is generated. This happens when the jit.world is on, and when the jit.catch object is receiving some audio signal. Make sure both those conditions are satisfied. When you say "there is no movement in the toggle box" I don't get exactly what you mean, the toggle (square with the X) is there to switch the jit.world on and off.

@@AmazingMaxStuff Thank you for your reply. I've attached a copy to show you that the toggle box has nothing in it when yours looks pixelated. I have no idea why that is. Could it be because of audio inputs? I am using a Scarlett 2i2 USB maybe this could be affecting it?

@@AmazingMaxStuff in max4live, i guess the environment is always in 'runtime mode'. The only way to edit the gen patch (change + to sphere) in your example here is to have a full fledged MSP license :/
