Thanks Polly..let's face it....writing a revolutionary novel while living on a relatively undiscovered Greek Island that has even forsworn the automobile for donkeys. Loving a beautiful model playing guitar with friends down at the agora ...what is not to love..I look forward to your novel I have always loved David and Pink Floyd I remember seeing More back in the day and longing to be on those wonderful islands..Have always been fascinated by Leonard and especially his time on Hydra. While walking on Hydra along the road overlooking the sea a couple of road workers came down the slopes with their donkeys loaded with rocks to repair the road ..just a delightful place and I look forward to your book. I hope it captures that special time.

Hey Polly just bought your novel and so looking forward to reading your work. Tremendous research and insight in your voice. I don't know if you look much into a side story about Victor Rothschilds and his wife but they were major figures in the Cold War events. And had a huge influence on the whole Philby affair. Not that it matters but thought you might find it interesting. I used to see Leonard in LA throughout the years in various places. Last was when I was driving along Olympic Blvd one afternoon. What a great job you are doing of capturing how Leonard Cohen really became Leonard Cohen. So beautiful !!! Hope all is well.

''Settings do inspire; just assuredly as they do when returned to.'' 41920 Polly thank you having taken us back there to where. In each metamorphic photo of Leonard; it seems there are the essence of Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino, John Cassavetes, & yes, even Leonard Nimoy there within.

Pollys lyrics must surely be inspired by Leonard Cohen giving how enthusiastic she is about his work in poetry and songwriting

Cohen paid $1500 for his house. I was on Hydra in 2017 and asked a local how much Cohen's house would be worth today. His reply: 25 million.

Exaggeration, a house like Cohen's even with the provenance would be in the 1-2 million mark on a good day. Most houses go around the 1 million mark, smaller pads are closer to $500k and bigger historical mansions in the 5 million mark. It is a difficult market because there is almost nothing in the sub-500k range for mere mortals to afford.
