From the way Bellamy looks at Clarke, I feel like he always loved her. Already from the time she killed Atom after he was in the fog and was dying. After watching the episode of season 1 where they go to a bunker and finds guns, and Bellamy teaches her to shoot, I really believed that the writers wanted them to end up together. And the way he touched her back that day and then retaliated, made me think he just realized himself that he loved her. But she had a thing for Finn so he kept himself occupied. Then in season 2 she was captured and after Finn died, Clarke found Lexa. And after Lexa she just built walls around herself. I believe that Maddie is what she needed to open up. I think Bellamy just doesn’t want to burden her along with everything else that’s going on, and because of that has kept his feelings to himself. I think Clarke is finally ready to accept and acknowledge her feelings, and I hope season 7 will be the time for Bellarke!

@@addie2747 I just finished season 5 and a few episodes into season 6 and I noticed it seems like the writers were building up the tension between them since season 5. The deep emotionally intimate talks and softness/empathy they have with each other when no one else is around, the sympathy, understanding and compassion/easy forgiveness, the way they look at each other. I also feel like Octavia saying "you love her" to Bellamy was a huge foreshadowing hint because the writers wouldn't have wasted a line like that for nothing if it didnt have a meaning to it. Also, Clarke glanced at Bellamy and Echo when they kissed after meeting at the bunker again, but right before that when she was in front of Jackson and Miller kissing revealing their relationship they didnt pan the camera to show her reaction at all. My thought on why the writers didn't get them together sooner even though in the books they're together right from the start is that since they're two of the central leaders, their feelings for each other would obstruct too much in their missions and goals. It would also take the focus away from the plotline. Finally, leaving the large romantic plotline as an overall show storyline arc is an age old TV strategy used, but the writers are so much more subtle in this show about it.

I can't be the only one who wants them to end up together 😭😭😭 they belong together they went through so much to protect each other , most of the time Bellamy protecting her but u get the point ... honestly I was in pain going through all the first 5 season waiting for them to happen ... I hope it does in 6 cuz I won't survive it if they don't 😢
