Beautifully executed Ganesh ! If folks want a cheaper light , Maruti has one at ₹96. Part number is 36210M75JA0. Will give a tight fit. For the connector , you can either solder the wires directly or if you want a connector for it you can get 36826M68P00 to do the job neatly. Gannu has done a splendid job. Kudos Gannu ! Love such short and to the point DIY videos. Keep em coming bud 🤘

Thank you Ashton. 🙂 Incidentally, I had also sourced the Maruti boot lamp which you’ve mentioned from Boodmo: pasteboard.co/gkcTx59GpQnh.jpg But that tiny switch on the light: pasteboard.co/fO7u22vOfDzX.jpg and the additional cable required for connecting it, made me switch to the Hyundai lamp + Tata switch. The access to soldering on those terminals are a bit tricky as it is covered. Getting the hot iron to reach there can test the patience. 😆

@@GaneshBalan you're absolutely right ! I managed to take two pins from a spare wiring harness connector and it was a tight fit to the pins on the MGP lamp. But you've kept it rather straightforward for newbies. 😊

Hi Sarvender ji, I checked with my friend’s Polo’s glovebox and I couldn’t find a way the latch can be removed. Also, the latch is not available as a separate child part in the VW parts database. Only the lid/cover is separately available. Did the dealer sell you this latch alone?

​​@@GaneshBalanhi Ganesh. Hope you are doing good. I have seen your teambhp post on adding footwell lights in polo..mine is a 2013 model which does not have footwell lights. So I'm planning to take connection from the stock cabin lights. So if I took connection from cabin lights will the footwell lights have a sort of dimming effect while turning on and off even if i swap stock halogen with LEDs

@sjd5885 Yes they will have the dimming effect. I did it this way on my Polo. Please note that if you’re using LEDs, they may have a faint glow if they are in off state. But not a big bother as the glow is very faint.

Yes the halogen bulb can be swapped with an LED festoon bulb.
