Za szybko. Polonez to taniec "chodzony" - dostojny i posuwisty. Zle zrobiony jest takze akcent... Zatanczyc dobrze poloneza to sztuka... :) Oni chca bardziej upodobnic ten taniec do walca... Muzyka natarczywa, a nawet jak do przemarszu wojsk radzieckich przed trybuna z komunistycznym przywodca. Umiem tanczyc poloneza i wiem jakie oni popelniaja bledy...to profanacja tego tanca!

Biologist here. In 1926, Ludwig Graper who was studying development biological mechanism of Chick (birds) saw that in the early embryonic development, a structure called 'Primitive streak' would form which would eventually elongate & grow giving rise to various cells of kidney, mesoderm, etc. He wrote that the migration of chick epiblast cells to form primitive streak reminded him of Polonaise. Thus the mechanism of primitive streak formation was called cellular 'dance'. Thanks!

Probably because Polonaise is a very ancient dance, and actually also on UNESCO list. Like a Nobel Prize winner once said: 'Ancient things, like the Polonaise dance are very important, they carry wisdom, offer critical lessons on values, universal virtues, morality, philosophy, and ethics. They shed light on the sophisticated culture of honour, valour, wisdom, love, courage, and humanity that have guided human life over centuries and millennia, emphasising their importance in our lives even today". Zabawne jak niektórzy ludzie myślą, że istnieje tylko polonez z Pana Tadeusza i należy go odmaszerować z pogrzebową miną jak na studniówce. Przed dwustu laty ludzie na balach bawili się jak teraz bawią na dyskotekach i tańczyli poloneza dla zabawy, a nie uwznioślenia hahaha. W każdym kręgu towarzyskim popularni byli inni wodzireje, a zatem inni kompozytorzy, style i układy taneczne.

It's not funny at all. In Poland it is always danced even now as the opening dance at all important national, stately etc event, Polish students students dance it every year at the final year gala ball. 🇵🇱 It also has the polish original name but it is the most commonly known as Polonaise in French because of its great popularity in France and French salons.

Polonaise means The POLISH dance, and it is not claiming anything. It comes from POLAND hence its name! It is actually on the UNESCO listed things of Polish national heritage! It is uninterruptedly danced in Poland and by Polish people abroad. It is the Polish opening ballroom dance opening all important, stately and national events in Poland. Epiratan dance is a common folk dance.
