If I were to qualify it, I would say the following: Dave Chappelle has a talent for storytelling, which talent he increases with compounded interest for overall profit via the gift of comedy; Whilst Bill Burr has a talent for comedy, which talent he increases with compounded interest for overall profit via the gift of storytelling: And at times the twain shall meet, with absolutely gloriously hilariously profitable results.

As a Woman, I fully agree with Bill's assistment for how women argue. I'm not one of them, if I lost then so be it. However there are those women who think of the mind-game-comment JUST to make men snap. That is SO true!
@mike900272 жыл бұрын
It's true, but those men who snap are no better than those women. Guys shouldn't stay with girls who provoke them, there are plenty of good men and women to pick from. The only scenario I can think of when it's ok to hit a woman is if she's hurting your children, everything else can be avoided by the man if he makes good judgments and decisions.

There's a woman here on KZbin called "The Dadvocate" who said "Okay, the council of women isn't going to like me making this public, so I might go missing after this.... but men, when you're arguing with your woman and she says 'OMIGOD! I'm so mad I can't even talk to you right now!" and storms off? It's because she just realized you're right and she owes you an apology. The reason she spends the next 3 hours not talking to you is because she's trying to figure out a way to do it while losing as little face as possible."

The beauty of Bill Burr is that he toes the line with such precision. He says the most vulgar and disagreeable things which generate great headlines. But if you actually watch him he's a master at reeling it back before it gets cast out too far. You'll see a headline just like this "no reason to hit a woman" and go in wanting to disagree. But he will toe that line and just riiiiight before crossing over it and pissing you off, reels it back in to where you can see where it's coming from. Guy lives on a razors edge of being canceled. The thing is, I don't think he really has to try to do it anymore, it's just his persona. The charismatic jackoff that you want to hate but can never get there. I don't think I'd want young Bill Burr in my wedding party but I'd love to have him perform lol. For the record, Burr is my favorite comedian. Comedy is at it's best when it challenges things. The modern day George Carlin, but for my money a tad better (fight me.)

Bill is so right about how women argue! I fell to their trap twice and now Ive won every argument where I knew I was right, they threw threats and insults and even threatenned breaking up. They always acted like the victim telling me that insulting me and breaking up hurt her more than it did me! Ha! What a joke! So far they always begged for another chance. Ive continued the winning tradition!!! Hahaha

You are extraordinarily perceptive. I seldom use the word genius as it is seldom found. But, I agree with you here. Bill Burr is a genius. I had a gig tonight. I am a solo keyboard player. I only communicate that fact to gain some credibility that I have at least some familiarity with the performing arts. For at least 25 years I have been telling my performer friends that stand up comedy is the toughest gig out there. And, when Bill Burr is on, as is almost always is, I have never witnessed a finer comedian in my 70 year old life. Peace.

Is Bill Burr crass, crude, and offensive??? Depends how you were raised. Is if funny?? Absolutely. Look how successful he is. People love his humor because it comes from experiences relatable to everyone. When he does a routine about African Americans, look how many of them are in the audience laughing hysterically. Bill is a genius and bold but for the majority of people, the humor outweighs his audacity to openly discuss what most comedians shy away from. You have to admire his unique approach and his flawless delivery. Great reaction today! 🤣

I mean, Bill is hilarious, but he's missing the point about how the statement "there's no reason to hit a woman" isn't for abusive men, it's for the victims. Abusers start off wanting to hit someone, they only use excuses to convince (aka brainwash) the victim into believing that they deserve it so they won't leave them. When the victim hears "there's no reason to hit a woman/person" by their society enough times, it counters the brainwashing and makes them question the abuser's narrative, which is the first line of mental questioning that can start to unlock the cage.

I have a really bad temper and I talk to myself a lot in the way that he said so it really hits home with me and like frenchtons today I'm home all alone, got upset about some personal stuff and spend about 10 minutes talking to myself.
