Check out the official video for this song too! It’s fire! I’ve been a fan since Billy Idol first released a video on MTV, I was 6 or 7 years old and fell in love with the bands music immediately. I literally grew up as a little kid jamming Billy Idol on cassette and watching videos on MTV. Tracks you have to hear are Flesh for Fantasy, Eyes without a Face, White Wedding, Dancin’ with Myself, Catch my Fall, Crank Call, Do not Stand in the Shadows, Blue Highway, Rock the Cradle of Love, Hot in the City, Save me Now, Can’t Break Me, Kings and Queens of the Underground and more!

@@christopherone1Yes, but he was never critically respected. Of course, the critics have almost universally panned every great band and artist whose music has managed to last; see what they had to say about Queen, Led Zeppelin, etc. But it meant that some of his later work didn't get the support it should have, and he wasn't given the lattitude to branch out beyond the pop-punk genre. IMO, for example, Cyberpunk, which was both a critical and commercial flop, is well worth a revisit. (It's worth listening to on the strength of Doug Wimbish's bass work alone, but it's a really solid album, in general.)

Polomars: “I’ve never heard anyone howl like that before” There’s an old blues artist literally named Howlin’ Wolf, and you should check out his stuff, beginning with “Smokestack Lightning”. Lots of great Billy Idol stuff already recommended, so I won’t rehash that except to add Cradle of Love after you’ve heard his earlier stuff. But a lot of these Aussie artists got their inspiration from classic rock, rockabilly, and blues guys. You should hear the guys from AC/DC talk about how much Chuck Berry meant to them. And the guy who said Billy Idol was like Jim Morrison and punk rock had a baby is spot on. But seriously, check out “Smokestack Lightning”.
