... so I watched this video after watching your "How to acquire any language NOT learn it" video and I can say that I find your way more fun and effective. I just started learning spanish 3 mos ago and I have been doing it the traditional way. After seeing this video I think I am gonna switch to acquiring language by listening and watching than just learning its grammar and etc. By the way, I understood 90% of your story and I laughed so hard. Thumbs up!

I LOVE these!! Me encantan mucho!! You have saved me $200, I was seriously considering investing in Rosetta Stone. I was hours away from purchase. I came across your video “How to Aquire a New Language..” and I was so intrigued. I watched it 3x! I came to your channel to see if you had any more content and I was ecstatic to find these stories!!! I’ve watched Heady Betty at least 20x!! 😂 I sent it to my best friend and husband, neither speak Spanish but I loved it so much I HAD to share with someone! I’ve been studying on my own for over a year and I am discouraged by how little I’ve learned 😟. Your videos have ignited a new love and hope in this process. I would pay for these fantastic videos. I’m so grateful you’ve shared these with us, for free! Your storytelling skills are spot on, I love the enthusiasm and sound effects!! I thought about enrolling in a Spanish Class but after seeing your video.. I don’t think traditional Spanish classes are really what I am seeking/needing. You have the luckiest students ever!! I pray more teachers will start using this approach! Thank you for saving me time, money, frustration and discouragement! I look forward to any news content you post. I will also be binge watching the rest of your channel! 😄

This is the best technique for acquiring a language. I did it with my English as a second language. I'm using this technique to teach Spanish in my channel.

Like others who have commented so far, I found this video after watching the hour-long How to Acquire video. So well done, Jeff. Thank you! Your passion for languages clearly comes through. I love your narration style. I am amazed how much Spanish I can actually understand when you speak it. I think it's all in the storytelling skill you have. And, the stories are very entertaining! Are there other linguists who produce TPRS content in other languages? I would love to find some in Greek and Mandarin. I have to settle for children's stories that are not as wildly entertaining as yours, Ha! Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see all of your videos. Muchas gracias.

How can we find the intermediate english tprs lessons or comprehensible input? Do u have plan like a tprs english lesson? There isn't enough content about tprs on the internet, there is a huge gap, why don't you fill this gap? Please consider this.

Hi Jeff, I'm very interested in your videos. I have some questions about your video. I'm learning English and I can communicate in English. Not very fluent and not perfect, but I can speak in English at a company. In this case, do I need to keep following TPRS? or I need to learn English with books or youtube? Can you please recommend me to the correct way to learn English?

Hi There I really appreciate your fantastic content and learning advice :) Just a quick question, while acquiring the language, does the speaking come slowly but surely / naturally, i.e. I start to speak when I feel comfortable, or do you at certain stages start to try to speak during the lessons e.g. after x hours, I'll try 2 word sentences, after x hours I do the past? Also, is there a moment when your lessons turn into "conversation" lessons, or is it always input lessons for the whole time, with the speaking done outside of the lessons? Any advice will be very much appreciated. Keep up the amazing work!!! George

I always start by saying "I want. I like. I need. I have." I usually start that on day one or two. Little by little I keep adding things like. "I go. I eat. I say. (sweet 16 verbs). But I always make sure I'm speaking at most 10% of the time.
