This is a show and tell of one of our greenhouses that we finished around April of 2022. We built this during the winter of 2021-2022 and are currently in our third season with this structure. This video describes some of the unique ideas that went into this structure and some different operational principles we apply.

What brand greenhouse did you purchase, how does it do in high winds

I designed and built this myself using steel and polycarbonate materials advertised at Catchsunlight.com, which we own. We import our polycarbonate materials from Polyvalley.com in China, and do not go through any mid-level salespeople which is why the polycarbonate we sell has the cheapest prices in the USA. We similarly import steel. The wind is fierce here, at times 70+ MPH gusts. No problems with the structure. Very stable. Used 3' ground posts with dry pour concrete locking them down. The raised beds also adds weight on both sides of the polycarbonate to provide more protection. The hoop ends on either end of the greenhouse also has concrete holding down the framing.

@russlivesay9325 Thank you for responding, I'm very impressed with your greenhouse. I have high winds too, I live on the Oregon coast. Gonna watch some more of your videos tonight. I've been looking for a 30x100 greenhouse and I'm really impressed with your setup.

@@JohnDoe-id9hi I'm actually really interested in building a greenhouse along the Oregon coast someday. I'm originally from Sherwood, about 20 miles south of Portland and just of off 99W on the way to Lincoln city. I'd love to move back someday, but everything is so crazy expensive now.

@russlivesay9325 That's a very nice area, I live in Coos Bay, about a mile off the Bay. It has gotten way expensive unfortunately, I was looking at a property with my father and couldn't help to notice tear down homes on small lots going for the price I paid for a nice log home on 20 acres with lots of pasture land for my cattle.
