For polycarbonate- prefer not using the term melting point: It is amorphous. Amorphous polymers have glass transition temp, not melting temperature

Your view is right should not a melting point but for amorphous polymers, some decompose and some have a range of temperature of melting.. More preferable refer as Temperature of melting (Tm) or Floor Temperature (Tf)
