I just saw a video of your where you stated that you have never seen a cracked hull in a Quintrex and then I see a clip from Lord Howe Island that the person just paid a huge amount to get his cracked beam rewelded - he had to pay to freight it to the mainland then back again, and when he got it back the other side of the beam was leaking. I'm not putting it on Quintrex it was who he was dealing with to get the repair done and as a boilermaker, why the hell didnt they shower test the welds. It is so easy and doesnt take much time.

Just true in the 80 and 90 there were lots of hulls cracking on welds And I’ve see a 450 topender with cracked everyribs but in the last 15 years I haven’t had a quintrex with a cracked hull You would know better than me but I assume it’s because of welding technology is better and heat is controlled stopping a welder from burning the alloy And better boat design I also think problems happen when people over load boats on trailers going camping eta and the weight is from inside rather than outside as in water Still haven’t see a quintrex hull crack As for lord howl island they have to lift all boats out with a crane Not sure I’d give warranty on boat unless I was told about not- normal usages

@@BrisbaneYamaha Agreed, welding technology has greatly improves since the 80 - 90's. My renegade 440 has done some work and unfortunately hit some sandbars at speed, a little problem we have up north in the creeks they are always changing. I've had an issue with her. Have considered upgarding but she is such a good versatile boat that'll stick with her.
