i think it's biggest when he gets somewhat pissed about everyone finding 'uh oh' funny when he doesn't understand it, so he makes it both his answers in the following round without thinking and it backfires. i just feel a lot of bitterness and pettiness in his tone once he can tell things aren't going his way. mean undercurrent is definitely a great way of describing it
