I love that you did a fast video!!!! Finally someone in the polymer clay world who respects other people’s time. Obviously, this video is not for very first time beginners. I read some comments below that people wish the video explained the skinner blends. There are a gazillion videos out there explaining how to make a Skinner blend and if you have made a few yourself, you wouldn’t have problems Understanding this video. But for most people with Basic understanding of polymer clay work - we just need the gist of it.Great video!

I went to the upper right and clicked on the buttons which then allows you to choose the Playback Speed. I picked as slow as it would go but still I kept trying to figure out how many layers you had. This is one of the prettiest canes I've seen. Thanks for sharing. I will check to see if you've uploaded any tutorials. I'm hopeful and looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful art. 😊

i wish you showed witch Skinner blends you were using in the beginning. It took me a while to realize what color blends you were using. over all nice pattern.

Look at the block that is set aside while she's working on the piece in her hand. One is orange to yellow. The other is light blue to dark blue. You can use a chunk of white and put just a tad of the same darker blue in it to make the lighter blue. OR.. just go from dark blue to white.. and if you don't like the white on one side, just cut it off. It's NOT that hard. You can always use your own colors.. just be sure to use a light and a dark.. you can even use different colors in the same cane. for example.. regular or dark purple to a lighter blue. You can make any color darker by adding black.. just a pinch. or gray. Using ECRU for a light color instead of white gives a really nice option.

I agree - too fast, no explanation, I don’t need to see a video explaining canes or what can be done with them to “friends” - and the “ fun free video” isn’t cutting it either - you’re not the only person producing “free” videos about making canes - if you need to emphasize the bit about the video being free , do you expect people to pay for more explanatory videos ? The tiles are lovely but dislike the attitude so I’ll watch those by people who can be bothered to take the time to explain stuff and don’t mind giving their expertise and time freely to the rest of us mere mortals . I’ve unsubscribed based on the response to a perfectly valid comment to which you replied in a distinctly patronizing manner .....

@susanhamilton83705 жыл бұрын
I once scrapped most of a cane it had taken an entire weekend to make thinking it was an epic fail just because I had cut it while still "warm" and not let it rest, it had smudged terribly in the cutting. Months later I gave the little bit I had kept a depressed little cut & whoa, it was beautiful! Tutors do tell us to let canes rest but they don't actually show what happens - I wish they would! I hope you didn't give up!

Came across as “ I only did this for my friends to show how fantastic my cane work is and you should be grateful I let you watch it for nothing !” . Plenty more people happy and willing to share their knowledge rather than just show off .
