I was going to comment on that, this video kind of sucks in that regard but the facial structure part was very useful, this was my first time sculpting a face. My advice is you can do the same thing she did on the lips, put a cut in there, open it up gently and stick a round piece of clay in there as an eye, pre make it or do it in the socket at that point, it's your choice.

This is really gorgeous craftsmanship. I have a problem with never ending up with a smooth surface and needing to rely on sanding to get out the jaggedness and dirt (why does my cat have to shed 24/7) it has been getting slightly better as I take more time but still a nuisance :d
@VanPham-vl6nu
@VanPham-vl6nu 6 жыл бұрын
so true !!! I personally don't like the sanding process because of the dirt that can make your work area quite messy plus it can affect your health if you don't wear mask. However, sanding will leave the surface a more finished look plus easier for painting on.
@SomethinSweetShop
@SomethinSweetShop 6 жыл бұрын
have you looked into odorless turpentine to smooth the surface? trovarion on youtube said he uses it after a wire tool, check it out:) I personally use sanding, and chemical sanding with acetone. get a tough paintbrush dip in a bit of acetone and sand fine areas with it.
@VanPham-vl6nu
@VanPham-vl6nu 6 жыл бұрын
Aw, thank you so much for the tips! I will definitely check out the odorless turpentine one. I would prefer rubbing alcohol rather than acetone because of the smell but for sure either one work perfectly fine :)

I only just got into this. I know it's late but I like replying to people. My answer is that, I think alot of people have to sand because it gives the maximum smoothness.
