Want to know something else, i went to my mosaic class today, and on the way I purchased some plastic knives, cheap glitter and glue, and proceeded to create a Katie Gordon piece. You have so much courage and knowledge and no fear. Who wouldn't love ya. Thanks again dear Katie. 🤩 Sherie.

Thanks Katie, you reminded me about my silicone tools and using them for resin. I purchased them from eBay prior to Covid when everything was still dirt cheap along with a set of Dentist silicone bowls and cups, the smallest is about 5 to 10mls. They are so perfect for resin work. The larger bowls for mixing about a quarter cup to a cup, are perfect to mix up Ultracal 30 for making up rocks for dot painting. I never thought to use the sanding bands on my Rotory tool like you did here, so thanks for showing us how to use those as well. Your Dental skills has trained you well which crosses over well into polymer clay skills that are so useful. So thanks for sharing with us. Your videos are never too long.

I just started watching your videos and I really like the work you do, and I appreciate the detailed instruction you give. I am not sure if you know this, but I saw you struggle a little with getting the sanding band off the dremel, I learned that when you tighten the screw on the top it actually compresses the rubber to make it a tighter fit, so if you just loosen that screw you can get the band off easier plus, that way you don't damage the band or make it too loose for the rubber. Just a little info I learned that I thought I would pass on to you. But, I really do love your work, please keep sharing

I’d like to get into using glitter in my clay pieces, but I’m scared to buy a brand that’ll burn in the oven 😬 so I’m going to watch my favorite polymer clay artists, like you, and learn from them! Lol
@katiegordon6104 жыл бұрын
So do a test bake w them not all burn or melt some do that's what I used mostly glass glitters
@kaitlynlusk8174 жыл бұрын
Katie Gordon That would be a perfect use for some scrap clay, to test glitters in the oven. Thanks for answering! I didn’t know if I could test them safely. I wasn’t sure what the worst thing that could happen would be haha I’m fairly new to polymer clay and since I rent, I’m wary of things I bake. I definitely want to invest in the glass glitter, I loved the way these pendants turned out with the layering, so classy!

You are hilarious just by telling it like it is. “Pit bulls and lock jaw!” 🤪 you opened with something else that had me laughing. Thank you for that! I enjoy you and your videos so much. So, glitter! Who knew? I missed your gold pendant some how, so when you were first talking about it I’m like glitter, hunh??? Wow! They are really beautiful, Katie! I love the way you did them in parts and the way you trimmed them. You are so skilled with resin! I’m obsessed with the stuff. But so far I only have the two part Ice resin. I have outfits (so many black ones) and a lot of blue ones, too. But I always need matching earrings. You mentioned that the resin became dirty so quickly, I think? I am pretty sure you said that. Is it the Lisa Pavelka resin or all resin? I remember you said in the past that you liked how they felt. I can’t imagine you enjoying touching them if they’re always getting dirty. Especially in your profession. Were you speaking of a different resin? It’s entirely possible I just misunderstood. Anyway, thank you for showing me how to make these very pretty glitter pendants. I’m sure I’ll figure out the earrings!! You always pick the best cutters, too. Better go so you can make more videos or muffins or relax with your guys! Thanks again!

Not really dirty they just smear and some resins smear alot at first like glass finger prints r always a thing yes but I find myself rubbing the smooth surface of course not when I'm working on a patient they r safely tucked under my shirt under my lab coat

Platinum is a lot more expensive, looks the same as white gold but it's needs more upkeep than white gold. Platinum nicks and scratches easier than white gold, and dulls, losing its sheen. This means that it has to be serviced every couple of years to restore it back to a "new" condition. White gold is a little stronger than yellow gold, but costs the same. Platinum is a little more scarce but if you compare the pros and cons, white gold is probably your smartest choice...especially if you use a lot of Sterling as well.
@katiegordon6104 жыл бұрын
Well at this point I have been engaged for 8 yrs and have had to have my ring refinished 3 times due to turing yellow from the acidity so would it actually need to be more upkeep than every 2.5 yrs

In the two videos u have watched I have been lectured or corrected like 5 time just saying may be nice intentions but seems belittling or do u mean to show me how much smarter u r than I am yes I grew up in a very low class house hold like living in a car watching clothes in a bath tub i have spend 4 yrs in college a year in a technical college but it was all dental nursing and science based so yes u may see me pronounce things wrong or spell thing wrong or may I misspeak because I don't have a computer out and don't want to sit there and look up a exact date for people when that was not reallly the point at all but I guess thanks for all the corrections today makes me feel great i screwed up so many times
