In this tutorial I'll show you an easy way to create faux rose quartz. We'll use that technique to create these stunning heart donuts. You can buff them or give them a coat of resin to bring out the true effect of the faux stone look. Keep in mind the technique will work with a variety of faux stones ranging from amethyst to calcite, so feel free to try new colors and create new stones.
These pendant are great gifts for a friend or a loved one.

I love that shade of pink, the cuttets you used, as well as, the cording and bails... The tips you give in each tutorial are absolutely essential. Thank you for those! I know for one, you have saved me much time and money messing around with water based or inclusive products to add into the other Clay's. I just won't be trying it now... Have a wonderful week and Holiday weekend, Samantha. 🐇

If you do not have pinata ink can you use a bit of acrylic paint?
@JessamaTutorials
@JessamaTutorials 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, but be aware that you need to apply a very light coat and will need to leave the clay and paint to dry a long time as the pardo doesn't like water. I'd go with white pastels instead.

Could you use a white liquid clay for this?
@JessamaTutorials

Yes, but I find it harder to use as it remains sticky until baking.

How does using the alcohol ink compare to using a white acrylic paint? (the way I've seen this sort of method done a few times) Either way, beautiful work, and thank you for sharing!
@JessamaTutorials
@JessamaTutorials 4 жыл бұрын
The ink doesn't react with the pardo clay like paint would. Paint makes the clay sticky.

Hi Samantha, I was wondering what I could use for creating pink with Pardo translucent when you don’t already have the pink translucent but do have Pardo translucent? Can you mix some Premo reds into the Pardo translucent to create a pink translucent? Any suggestions? I only have the translucent from Pardo not colored translucents yet. I want to try this in pink and maybe purple for faux amethyst,will mixing Premo bits in work? Thank you
@mariatew4269
@mariatew4269 4 жыл бұрын
If you add normal polymer clay to translucent it will make it opaque and lose some of its transparency. You could try adding a tiny drop of pink alcohol ink to some translucent clay. Wear gloves. Mix in well. Add a tiny bit more alcohol ink if you need to. A little goes a long way.
@barbarajackson3076
@barbarajackson3076 4 жыл бұрын
Maria Tew I don’t think I have pink alcohol inks or paint even. I know I have purple alcohol inks. I bought a package called an exciter pack on amazon awhile back. It’s sad because I really wanted to try this. But if just mixing in a smidge of Premo pinks or red won’t work with Pardo translucent then I guess I won’t get to try this. Thank you for replying.

What about a very light pink mica I’m talking the tiniest amount or else u could use a pink sharpery marker and barely go around the out side of the cutter or ur blade as u chop the prices it will leave pink behind when done chopping b4 adding white clean blade with rubbing alcohol .
@JessamaTutorials
@JessamaTutorials 4 жыл бұрын
Alcohol ink or a very small amount or red clay will work best. The red clay will take away a bit of the translucency, but not too much if you use a small amount.
