I love this technique! I love using gelatos for this. I did a veneer with pastels and then I did a separate veneer using the gelatos but in the galaxy colors. I love them both! Thanks for doing this one again. It’s so cool that you can use different mediums for the same effect. 😊

I’m glad you mentioned gelatos. I tried it to make a faux stone and it was beautiful. The top layer stuck well also. Thanks.

Have you ever tried mixing the powders with gloss acrylic medium? Or would that change the soft effect too much?

Hi Katie, I tried this technique when I first started claying , but never did anything with it basically because I didn’t know how to! So thank you for taking it up a step further to make some gorgeous effects. Hugs from South 🇦🇺

Thank you for sharing this, Katie, I really like that you used several different ways to apply the color. I, too, love this technique and I’ve only used inks for color. I really like how the various yellow based chalks turned out. I also didn’t realize the thickness of the base clay could make such a difference. I’ve used really thin black under white. So using different base colors also got me thinking. Thanks so much, I enjoyed watching!! Can’t wait to see what you turn these into 😊 I love watching your creative wheels turning❣️

You spent too much time on showing the white slab of clay then the gray clay it lost my interest quickly.
