Wonderful video, Cindy. Thank you! I'm very interested in how to use nail plates to texture polymer clay (if possible). Thanks!

You said to make sure you take with paint side up, I'm curious how you baked the roll on the pendant. It's really beautiful. I would like to give it a try.

Thanks this was very helpful. So after your done baking some of my pieces need some sanding on the side and backs, but I used the silk screen on the top of my pieces. My question is I need to sand the backs and sides and usually give them a little bath. Can I still do that without ruining the paint? I plan on sealing my pieces afterwards but not sure about the sanding process that i normally do?? Help please 😊

I love all this, but the rustic necklace hanging in the back....wow. my question is about that today. How is it connected. It's in-between the beads but the beads don't look like it's supporting the rod. I have my first craft fair in November and would like to have some like it. Thanks for all you do for us minions out here.🤪

The cords are just running through a channel/loop at the top of the pendant and then through the beads. Nothing too complicated. Thank you for the kind comments! 💖

It's easy to make your own silk screens for clay on the Cricket. You can customize them to whatever you like. They are also reusable.

What do you call that tool to spread the paint on the silkscreen? Where do you find it? Thank you!

Question: If you have already baked a piece, like your earrings in the video, and you decide after baking to put acrylic paint on the sides and the back, do you have to bake it again or can you just let the paint dry and then seal it with a glaze? Great video by the way thank you for it!
@PolymerClayTutor8 жыл бұрын
You don't have to bake it again, but t does make it more durable if it is heat set.

Do you have to seal the paint on the clay after baking?

I saw a video recently where someone used a garlic press with air dry clay to make noodles for a tiny bowl of soup. I wonder if this trick could work with polymer clay as well?
@PolymerClayTutor8 жыл бұрын
You can try but it will be hard to push the clay through a garlic press unless you use extremely soft clay and a weightlifter to squeeze it for you. :)
@RameyRocks7 жыл бұрын
Anastey Lovely I've used a garlic press several times for such things as hair on characters I've made. It wasn't hard at all for me and it worked quite well.

What do you recommend is the best cleaning method for polymer clay earrings? someone told me to soak them in peroxide or something and im not sure if it would be okay on the material
@PolymerClayTutor8 жыл бұрын
Peroxide shouldn't hurt your polymer clay pieces, but I would test it on a piece that isn't too precious to you, to be sure.

Why do you make such large earrings? I don't wear long and big one. Thanks
@PolymerClayTutor8 жыл бұрын
+Rhonda Magee I don't only make large earrings... Just last week I did a video with a 'Million and One' earrings and although many are large, some were small too. I do love making large statement earrings with polymer clay though, because the material is so lightweight and so versatile, it makes the perfect material for large pieces.
@brikhouse228 жыл бұрын
+Rhonda Magee then good thing she isn't making them for you lol. If you like the design, scale it down to suit your taste.
