'Polynomial - C' is a track from my album APHEXionS (WERF Records -2021-)
On this album I play around the music of Aphex Twin.
The album APHEXionS is the first of the « Ode Session » series.
Being solo or not, this project is a pretext for exploration and amusement.
A way to play.
The goal :
Pick an artist per album to use his musical universe as a base and let go my inspiration on it.
The idea is to express myself through an artistic field that is well anchored and that is not mine to only take what I want on it, even if it means only keeping the roots.
To take a lot of freedom from a big impulse.

Thanks for your feedback and about your question I didn't took the rights of compositions (obviously) and actually not even the ones on arranging on the album, just the performers one (that are 1%) so all the money ( and there is not much haha) goes to mr Richard David James representatives and himself. I also happen to think that it's a compliment when someone play your music and that's something that often happen in jazz, you take a standard and you improvise on it. Aphex Twin's music is just so rich and inspiring i did this album because it was something that meant something for me artistically. I didn't t used any sample or electronics, i just wanted to let myself be inspired by his universe on the piano and to propose something of my own on the compositions of this great musician.
