Just saw them play last night in portland,OR. Ive seen alot of incredible concerts but these guys have some of the highest skill and best energy of any show i ever went to. This hand is incredible. Ive never bought so much merch at a show but I never want to forget how i felt at this show. Strangers around me were so kind as well we all just were riding the wave

Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, and others are where bands like Polyphia derived. I love these guys and a lot of the new breed of young musicians, however instrumental rock, broke in the '80s

@@theburkett67 what I'm meaning to say is that Polyphia are managing really well to bring a very niche genre to a higher pedastal, especially for more popular audiences. The older greats that you mentioned really did bring this genre to light in the 80's, but it quickly shrunk down fast into obscurity again. Polyphia is bringing it back in a very unique fashion.

I saw them live two summers ago in Baltimore and they had another band open for them the "Unprocessed" I was floored since I had been following Manuel on his YT channel and never put together he was in the band.. so I got to see three of my current favorite guitarists... Tim, Scottie, and Manuel.. great show ..except the sound mixing and engineering could have been better..

This is an important point. Some people like to point to boomers for unfair and prejudicial criticism of the band. I'm a boomer and I'm a die hard fan. I have a bunch of boomer friends and a few Gen Xer's who also are big time Polyphia fans. That portion of the older generations who are overly critical are core metal guys and people who never liked any kind of progressive music to begin with. I know a few of them; the rest of my friends and acquaintances all Musicians and enthusiasts Love Polyphia. Rock on Brother. 🤘🤘

These guys seem to recognize art in many forms, and they use it to inspire their own creativity through music One of the things that I admire most about them is their ability to recognize that they’ve created a space for themselves to be, and remain creative in, and they understand its value. In any case, I’m loving being able to witness the journey and being able to listen to the outcome of it as we go along.

I think posting videos of their live shows is a really smart thing to do actually, there's always going to be people recording the shows and posting it online, so why not do it themselves? It's a great advertisement too for anyone who wasn't been to a live show before, they get a taste of the experience on the official channel

Scottie is hands down my most favorite polyphia member! You can just hear the influence of Dime and other great guitarists through his playing. I also love how his solos are bringing back the heavy guitar sound to more mainstream media.
