Weirdly enough, I think the Guzheng lends itself well to this style of play. Tim Henson uses a style that has a lot of polyphonic layering, and that's very difficult on a guitar. However, an instrument inherently built for polyphonic rhythms might have an easier time replicating that style than other instruments out there. That being said, its still very difficult to pull this off, and it was amazing to watch.

Has more talent in her little finger than 99% of people in the world. Amazing doesn’t even begin to describe this talented artist ❤
She’s good, but the one with the true talent is whoever wrote this song.

@@BleachCowboy2016 Tim Henson is brilliant. My middle son looks identical to him minus the tats( which look cool ). The guzheng instrument this lady is playing is difficult to play at the best of times.I also think she did an amazing job🍻

That is a level of articulation I didn’t know the instrument possessed! Bravo!!!👏

That was amazing! The palm mutes, harmonics, notes, rhythm, literally everything. That was so cool.

Polyphia has taken the guitars to another level, this lady takes the music to the next. Inimitable !!!

I do not usually comment, but I must say this is playing with gifts from God. A true pleasure to listen and watch. Thank you

The most insane part is that she hits almost every note in a virtually 1 for 1 translation

As a musician, that is what I noticed as well. But upon a second & third viewing I realized how unnatural the camera & she moved. Play it at 75% speed & see for yourself.

Nah, the most insane part is she thinks she better wear a mask around these infected strings.
@joshsilvia9077 Жыл бұрын
@RealEveryDay504 clown, it looks so painfully slowed down at .75, this is am actual jam session and you should feel bad for crying wolf about an artists talent.

The fact you can play the solo and just casually adjust your mask without dropping a note is surreal to me Absolute banger mate

This video alone was 10+ clips stitched together. I bet this took A LOT more takes than that to make. I have seen Polyphia play this song live and they don't even play it perfectly (it is still insane to hear live regardless of the mistakes)

This is by far the best cover of any polyphia track. The Guzheng sounds so great for the harmonics and bends.

This is the best cover of this song of all time! The way her hands move is like she's controlling strings on a marionette too! WOW
@jeffharper7528 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely incredible. In no way is it a departure and yet this feels completely innovated. The way she took the guitar pieces and made them sound as if they were written for her instrument of choice is masterful and moving. Genuinely choked up.

Best cover of Playing God ever. The high speed harmonics were incredible. And when you went into the Samba section on a new set of strings, I was stunned. You may have performed more technically difficult, this is now my favorite.
