I just started listening to them like two months ago. My buddy said the same thing about the metal thing. But he's a drummer and said their new drummer is better. I havent listened to anything besides their last two albums. Kind of afraid to actually. Haven't listened to "metal-y" tunes in a while now. Dont wanna ruin the amazingingness I've discovered here... Ya know?

Your jams literally make me so excited to pick my guitar up and try something new. Back in the day when the Blood Sugar Sex Magic album from Red Hot Chili Peppers came out, and the drum tracks just jumped out of your speakers and smacked you, everyone was wondering - how did they get that amazing drum kit sound?! (They recorded the drum tracks inside of a glass solarium/greenhouse, if memory serves.) That was my first question hearing this track. Tight and punchy, so thick and tasty, but clean and brightly defined throughout, and it never steps on the other instruments anywhere. Excellent recording and mixing!
