I had the same thing happen to me last December. I just want you to know that it gets better. That doesn't mean that things will be like they used to, but they will get better I swear. Even tho our friends couldn't do the same, we have to make sure that their spirit lives on in our lives as we tackle life's successes and tragedies. They would've wanted that for us. Much love and solace man and RIP to all the homies that didn't make it to 2023 🖤🖤🖤

Hey boys, I'm 44, whatever, you guys are revolutionizing shit and I FUCKING LOVE IT. I own a 7 and 8 string, I grew up playing a 6er and I own a ton of them still. I see Tosin rocking the full scale. He's the only one. I see JP writing songs on his 8, (song), the only reason I can see that having 8 strings is worth it is for Frederick Thorendal who plays a ton of rhythm on the low register, and solos up high. Again, I'm really good at guitar, both of you fellas are world class. I'm trying to understand what the purpose of an 8 string is when a baritone is available? Hell, even JP (Petrucci) plays Paralyzed on a 6 string.....Whatever, again. EDIT. Everyone of my 9 guitars has a purpose. I guess what I was trying to ask above, is "why are 8 strings involved in this song when they only play the lowest three strings?" Hopefully I'm not being a pain in the ass, hopefully, one of you two virtuosos can answeer me. Much obliged, gents, either way.

Some Kind of Monster really taught us that the backstage of a band is sometimes very different of what they project to the outside world, but man, these guys seem to be having the time of their lives doing this together. I think it does come through their music, all 4 are great musicians we all know that, but these have a special bond and it shows in the writing, they compliment each others playing in a seamless way. From someone that has been watching these guys since the old days, it's amazing to see this after so many years. Can't wait to see what they have in store for us in the next years as well.
