The mm sound is insane. In video it feels like your sending the sound telepathically.

I will be practicing this very intensely. This is exactly what I want and need....drills. Thanks! A lot of singers use honey to maximize singing. Every time I use honey I hit the notes better but too much can have drawbacks. Also, I wonder what would happen if you did polyphonic singing at a major zoo? That would be interesting, especially around the parrots. Emm, you have a mission. Go to the zoo and conduct experiments. How do the various animals respond?

You are amazing Emm! Thank you so much for sharing! I have a question: It's being 3 days practicing a lot (no polyphonic voice yet) but I've been hearing a creaking/scraching sound, like something very tiny rolling inside a box. Do you know what that sound is?
@HarmonicPolyphonic2 жыл бұрын
Hey Felipe, thank you for your message. I am happy you are finding value in the tutorials. Hmm if it doesn't hurt than it could be that you are contracting your vocal chords and perhaps doing some throat singing as well?! Which is the more traditional and original form of polyphonic singing. If it does hurt then I'd sip some warm tea while practicing xx

I got an interesting response from my cat while trying these.. completely ears laid back almost flat on it's head.. it really doesnt like me trying this. (I don't blame it, I don't like the sound of myself trying this either).

update.. I've been practicing now for 4 days. First two days I wasn't sure if I was hearing the overtones, on the third day I was sure I was hearing them but it was very occassional.. and on the fourth day, today.. I was able to show a friend and get an overtone in which he heard too first try :) (not though producing them in beautiful ways yet). update - 6 days practicing now and the overtones are getting louder and I am able to now hold them for several seconds or so, I was also today able to experience the hold back while pushing out thing which the two sounds and the side of my throat which doesn't seem to vibrate much, suddenly started to like work today. (I'm working on this about an hour a day).

first day here, I don’t like what I sound like doing these rn, lol I’m glad to see you saw results in under a week spending an hour each day. That gives me tremendous hope to give it a shot! Thanks for your comment!

Thank you so much.!How do you change the notes of the overtone..?
@sanjanams61047 жыл бұрын
I cannot find it anywhere. So, if you can just reply, that would be so helpful
@HarmonicPolyphonic7 жыл бұрын
MonkEY MusIC97o.0 Hey 😊So to change the the notes of the overtones you simply play around with the tongue placement in the mouth. Bringing the tongue slowly forward and back, up and down. Also subtle changes to the lips, making the gap between the lips bigger and smaller in tiny increments xx play around with this and see how you go xx

Where are you resonating? 'cause I could create a couple of armonics or overtones,but I had to put it back, better if I stood up, it sound naturally as if I were whatever there XD
@HarmonicPolyphonic7 жыл бұрын
Oihane Mariñelarena hey lovely, what do you mean where am I resonating? In terms of the acoustics in my environment?
@Anime-nl9mr7 жыл бұрын
I actually haired the overtones with just the N! OMG ppl say you have to actually make your voice as "throat voice" straightening your vocal cords a little bit and go red, but you don't seem so
@HarmonicPolyphonic7 жыл бұрын
Oihane Mariñelarena not at all! It's not meant to hurt xox there are many many different styles of throats singing, maybe they were referring to tuvan 😊
@Anime-nl9mr7 жыл бұрын
Yep, it didn't hurt and that's y I like it lol XD Thanks!
@katiefreer87144 жыл бұрын
Are you resonating through your nose? I do classical singing (soprano) and was just curious if this sound is the same resonating through your nose (Head voice) ?
@derekjohns43454 жыл бұрын
think about the way you say (eww or you) and how at the end of the sound that your tongue is making a small opening at the back of your mouth like you would with the front of your mouth if you would whistle. it's not your vocal folds making the whistle sound. the sound is made from the resonance from the sound you make from your throat through the air output through the small opening in the back you make with your tongue and the soft part of your mouth at the top. im a bass singer and i noticed it works with my range around D3 to about D4 for the throat sound. to change resonances you have to play with it and change very subtly mouth/lips to change the whistle sound... hope this helps.

Are you breathing or forcing air out of your mouth as you sing? Do you breathe as you do it or is it with one breath?
@HarmonicPolyphonic4 жыл бұрын
danette perez I was taught before each overtone to take a full inhale and exhale and then begin with the next small inhale. But I’m not taking a full breath and then letting it all out. I was told a good practice is to full inhale then exhale then hold the ‘nnnnn’ sound for as long as possible to slowly increase the duration so it is one breath total 😊❤️
