I came by your video by accident and was hooked to see what actually happens to the hard rubbish on nature strips in Australia. Now I know why there are pickers like yourself who go thru them to pick and salvage stuff and then what happens to the stuff you pick up. It is interesting to see what happens at the metal scrap yard. Can you explain why there are some metal stuff that you take and some that you don't, ie, the gazebo frame, or some chairs that had metal frame? Also what do you do with the cables, motors, etc that you don't dispose at the metal scrap yard? I'd also like to say thank you for being respectful and not making a mess of the stuff you go thru and left on the nature strips. I've seen too many people who would just dig thru and leave things strewn about, just so disrespectful and disgusting behaviour.
@PolyProphet
@PolyProphet 2 жыл бұрын
Usually past experience with certain items deters me from picking them up again. It could be they get tangled or they take up all the space but aren’t heavy. Sometimes the rain makes it difficult so I end up leaving things. I stock pile motors and things to cash in when I have a loads worth. Thanks so much for dropping by Kevek 😊🙏🤙

Haha It must of been something else. All sockets are accounted for. Thanks for watching guys 👍👍

Hi, the $110.40 you show us , is that the ABN price or the private price? Thank you

@@PolyProphet that's mean as a private seller I'm going to get a 30 to 40% cut off that $110.40?

@@pierreqiu8147 Yes I guess so. The yards that pay cash here always pay a little less.

I notice you come across a lot of totes or bins, do you ever or have you had luck in selling them? Maybe try selling the lids to those pots you always find.
@PolyProphet
@PolyProphet 10 ай бұрын
Yes a couple times I’ve found a few matching tubs with lids. I sold them together on FB. I haven’t tried selling odd or mismatching ones though. Do lids for pots sell on their own?
@Kreacher1974
@Kreacher1974 10 ай бұрын
@@PolyProphet they might sell. Sometimes they get broken and people replace the whole pot. Try a few and see what happens
